BIOGRAPHY
I was born thirty-five years ago, into a Jedi family. My parents were both Jedi Padawans at the time, only twenty-one years of age, but their love and guidance would serve me well for the rest of my days. From a young age, I showed an aptitude for the reception and understanding of visions and dreams as related to me by the Force, giving me the unique ability to detect currents in time that could lead to any number of possible futures—as well as happenings in the present. In addition, I proved to display a great affinity for the powers and philosophies of the Force, but less so for lightsaber combat.When I was ten years old I participated in the "Exhibition Day Tournament". Its where young students are encouraged to perform their skills so that they may be taken as an apprentice to one of the Knights or Jedi Masters. It was then when Jedi Knight Qui-Gon Jinn took me on as his apprentice. We were alike, the way we were in-tuned with the Force.
Throughout our years training together, he taught me how to hone my skills within the Force. At the time, I believed that I had sufficiently learned the lessons he taught me, but I would later learn that this was only a half-truth. I heard what he would tell me, but fully grasping it and understanding it was another matter entirely.
When I was twenty years old, Qui-Gon agreed that I was prepared to face the Jedi Trials. I was reluctant, filled with doubts and fears about my own capabilities as a Jedi, but he assured me that my time had come. He promised me that I was ready to become a great Jedi Knight, that I was a wise man and a capable Jedi who would go on to lead a fulfilling life within the Order. Indeed, I passed my trials, and the Council bestowed upon me the rank of Jedi Knight in a ceremony where I was surrounded by Qui-Gon, my parents, and all the Jedi Councilors, every one of whom had put their faith into me.
That faith would soon crash down all around me.
When Qui-Gon met his defeat on Naboo, I felt it halfway across the Galaxy. Over the years of our training, the missions, we formed a like father-son bond. It was a ripple effect. I was filled with anger and depression. I returned to Coruscant and seek the Council's advice. Master Yoda was able to help me with my troubles, as he knew how close Qui-Gon and I were.
To keep my mind off the death of my former Master, I took on a Padawan, Dex Jax, who wanted to excel in the Force aspect instead of the lightsaber aspect like I did. Throughout the years of our relationship, I taught him everything I knew about the Force, and also what Qui-Gon taught me as well. When it came time for Dex to partake in the Jedi Trials, I insured him he was ready. Through my tutelage, he passed the Jedi Trials, granting him the Knight title. I was more than pleased with Dex. As I knew Qui-Gon would be pleased with me.
At the age of thirty-two, I was granted the title of Master, and given a spot on the Jedi Council. Three years later, "Order 66" came down. Almost all of the Jedi were slayed. Master Yoda, Master Obi-Wan Kenobi, and myself survived the attacks. Yoda fled to Dagobah, Kenobi went to Tatooine, and I returned to Coruscant, masking my true identity to hid from the Sith.
I would succumb to hiding. Until the Jedi were ready to strike back.
