"Well... I was stalking a target of mine, guy almost killed Gra'tua... So I had a personnel vendetta against the guy. He was about.... One mile away from here, I got him, he suffered, and I was on my way back, when a sandstorm hit me. I fell down a dune, and when I awoke, Gra'tua was laying next to me. I looked around and almost thought I had died! Why did I choose you.... I don't know... I guess I can trust you more than the other's...." Maud'Dib shrugged.

"Choose me?" She questioned him. "But...?" Her voice trailed off. Perhaps it was best not to question. She didn't know why he would, they had only met hours ago. Hell, technically he'd known the others longer. Melly took a bite of the apple and looked away from him. "Guess I can respect that..." She shook her head lightly. "Trust the girl that plays dress up...yep, that'll work out." Mel giggled sarcastically.

"Your an outcast with your friend's... Your different. I don't know...Maybe I can relate to you... I've never understood my ability to get along with certain people better than other's. I really don't know..." Maud'Dib thought aloud to himself. Why did I choose her? She's an outcaste, sure...But there are plenty of people who can control beast's... Yes...But do the animal's talk to them like they do you? Can they read people better than you...? Like as if you where mind reading? I don't think so... A small voice spoke to Maud'Dib in his head. It was pessimistic, no doubt about that...

Byter palmed his face. There it was, the stupidity often showed in animals. But, he knew better. He could see how intelligent it was, it just didn't understand him. He sighed and got back on his speeder bike, giving a quick pat to the Nexu, and then starting it. Pretty soon, he was whizzing off. He was, oh, about about 23 yards away when the bike seemed to glitch.
Now, when I say glitch, I mean stall. ANd when a speeder bike stalls, you're basically screwed. It instantly stopped its engine, the momentum propelling the thing into a dune and catapulting Byter off it. He was flying.....
But then he 'flew' behind Maud'Ib into a nearby tree. "Ow."
(Have you noticed he crashes every single thing he drives?)

Gra'tua, could ohnestly say she saw this coming. So, the nexu decided to follow, ignoring the dirty look Maud'Dib gave her. "What? I can't follow you around??" Gra'tua asked simply. Her growling sounded like nothing other than that to everyone else. -------- "Damnit....I can't get one moment alone with someone....Even in near IMPOSSIBLE location to find... There is no where I can go to be away from my insanity..." Maud'Dib was not happy. "Fuck...FUCK! Gra'tua why can't you leave me alone for one moment??" ------- Gra'tua was not happy, her owner was now mad for being concerned.

Melly sweatdropped and stood up. She dropped the apple and took a step back as Maud'Dip raged at his companion. "Hey...calm down! You should be grateful that she's so dedicated!"
She walked past the pair and made her way to Byter, who appeared to have faceplanted himself into a tree. There was no way she was going to let him drive in the pod race if this was how he drove. He'd kill them both. "Are you ok?" Melly nudged him and kneeled down next to his body. "That was smooth, Stray. What are you doing out here?" She glanced back at Maud'Dib. "He looks angry...I don't think you should have come here.."

"Great.... Well...Now I have to use a rather expensive tool of mine..." Maud'Dib practically flowed anger. This was a special place for him...It reminded him of his mother...Or at least his adopted one. "Now I have to find it in my pouch...And give it to both Byter and Gra'tua...." Maud'Dib sighed. He alway's wondered what would happen if he gave the potion to a human being... "Alright...Well, the least you can do Gra'tua, is drink this and head back now that you know I'm safe..." Maud'Dib poured some of the liquid into a small bowl and let his cat drink it. ------- "This is going to make me forget this place again isn't it? Why don't you want me to know where this place is??" Gra'tua asked walking over to the bowl. She begain to drink it, all the while waiting for Maud'Dib to answer the question. ----- "The reason why is because this place is special to me... It remind's me of my adopted parent's before they where jailed for a crime they didn't commit. And now that you know I'm safe, you won't remember how to get here. You'll now this place exist's...But you won't know where. I've told this to you a hundred time's." Maud'Dib said, smilling like a child with his hand in a cookie jar. "However...Byter need's some as well....I don't trust very many people with this location. He would have known about it, eventually...Don't get me wrong. But this place is not ready for many to know." Maud'Dib said, a little darkly. He knew what would happen... And he'd die before he let some punk sell this land, or it's birthright to the highest bidder.

Byter peeled himself off the tree and looked at her. "Lets just say I really don't like hanging in Jabba's Palace. Very, very bad."
He shivered. His eyes caught sight of the small oasis and he tilted his head. He gave a whistle. "Nice place. Haven't seen something link this, in, well, ever."
He looked over at the ex-bounty hunter with a raised eyebrow. To the normal eye, nothing seemed out of place. But, he still had his googles on. He had seen the vile of whatever it was and didn't like it. That looked like Strangiite. It was a black market drug, designed to make people forget some things. Why he gave it to his Nexu was a mystery, but Byter knew that if he was going to do it to the cat, then the smuggler was next. No way Jose.
"Besides, we have to go and actually look at the pods we are going to be racing and I really don't want to be alone while doing it. Let's just say those guards really like the slaves they're guarding way more than they're supposed to." He cricked his neck and leaned on the tree. His eyes travelled its way to the gleaming water and he stopped thinking. It was this type of view that made him think of her. He shook his head. DOn't bring up any bad thoughts now. Weighted souls meant weighted bodies, at least, thats what an old philosopher once told him. He sat down, just enjoying this chance to relax, he didn't get many.

Maud'Dib stretched his arms, opened the vile, and pulled out a needle. It wasn't a normal needle, it was a throwing needle. He made sure to position himself so that no one see's what he had. "Well... Unfortunelty...." Maud'Dib threw the needle as he turned, and the neelde struck his vein in his arm. "I can't allow more than two people to know where this place is... I understand you both arn't going to like this... But unfortunetly this is a very prized place.... If other's where to know of it, they'd ravage this very spot. Taking advantage of it's water and green's for money, not the real use for it. I've seen to many place's like this destroyed and used up like a mule, mostly for Jabba and other rich people. I refuse to allow this to happen." Maud'Dib said, his face was dark, his tone was nothing more than that of the dead. He HAS seen to many people loose lives for thing's like this. Maud'Dib would rather allow this to grow for a little longer, and let other's eventually find it, rather than let Jabba or some rich aristocrat find it. "This place...Is to special for me... I'm sorry but I can't let you remember....Sorry. But this is my special bland. It'll only erase the past thirty minutes of you being here. I've checked on myself plenty of time's....."

It had taken Chir'lales awhile but the bombs were finally done. He was lucky that the guards were easy to spot and were predictable. Otherwise he might have been caught as he attached them to each engine. He tried his best to make them blend in with the other parts of each pod and hoped nobody noticed them. The only problem was that he had done so to each pod and there was no way to tell which pod the others would be in, and the bombs were an all or nothing deal. If he used them they would shutdown the engines or blow them up depending on how violent the emp grenade went off. He held the trigger in his hand, opening and closing the lid out of boredom. He had enjoyed his time tinkering with the grenades but the others were gone much to long and he didn’t have a target to hunt.
Not being able to stand the solitude, minus the slaves and guards of course, he headed over skiff and gave it a look. Sure enough it had a radio which he was almost positive had to connect to the other’s skiff. Activating the radio he called out to them. “Hey guys, its about time you should be heading back. Hate to be cutting your date short but you really need to prepare for the race. Like hell I am going to end up a slave because one of you goofs up or doesn’t get any sleep and passes out.”

Byter looked at Maud'Ib, then at the needle stcking out of his arm, then back at Maud'Ib. "You asshole."
The smuggler collapsed. His body was flopping over the place. His mouth was foaming at the mouth as his eyes glazed over. His body was not supposed to bend in some places, yet he was managing it. His neck twitched. His glazed eyes focused on Melly.

What?
What...?
Melly could only watch in horror as the poison took hold of the Smuggler. She was next. "What are you talking about!?" She swirled around to face Maud'Dip. "Just a minute ago you said that you trusted me...and now this?" Her voice was sent into a panic and she turned back to face Byter. She had no clue what to do and was pretty much useless at this point. He looked as if he was dying, if not already dead. "Damnit, you're not allowed to die already, you wimp!" She took hold of his shoulders and began to try and shake him out of it. "Get up Stray!"
"...Maud'Dib, you're going to pay for this..."

"Don't worry, it's a normal reaction.... I told you I've used it on myself.... If it where an abnormal reaction I'd have given him the antidote. If you don't mind, we're all leaving. Either way, I'll loose this place. I'd prefer only so many people know the location of where it is." Maud'Dib waited about two more minutes before walking over and giving Byter some white liquid. "This should stop the formula from taking any more memories than it has. I only wanted this place to remain a secret. And it will. Only three people know of this location.... Me, my first love, and you Melly.... My first love died about two months ago, so I'd rather not have to many people I care for know of this place. The lesser the better..." Maud'Dib added, the faint smell of a rather old bottle of Vodka wafted up from the bottle. "Don't say I'm going to pay for attempting to keep his sanity, or his body, safe from Jabba or other rich Cha'kaars either... They tortured her to death and made me watch. I took so much of this stuff to forget...And still it doesn't work completely. The only thing he will forget is where this place is, he'll remember what it is...And most of what he's seen.... But he won't remember where. Be happy this is all I'm doing..." Maud'Dib knew better than to press his luck right then and there. "I'll go back on Gra'tua. You both can take the Skiff. Just push the only blue button on there. It'll take you straight back." Maud'Dib said, walking away. He didn't look back. Just like he didn't look back at his first lover's dying corpse as he was hauled away...

Byter's body6 twitched as he struggled to stay awake. This was killing him, he was sure of it. White foam at the corners of his mouth and his eyes glazed over. This was bad. Then, he felt the memories slipping away. No!
Strangiite. Curse that stuff. It removed any memories that the perpetrator didnt want there. He tried to hold ion to all his memories, but he could he felt some slipping away already. So he grabbed the more important ones. Melly, the hookers, Scorch, Her, and the Chakaar that killed her.
NOOOOOOO! There went the hookers. But wait, some were coming back! Yes! Great. His body twitched.

Melly could feel herself growing angry. "Who are you to judge what others are allowed to know...?" She understood his logic, just didn't agree with it. There was no use beating a dead horse. His mind was clearly made up. She remained sitting next to Byter and simply waited for him to come to. If she had known what kind of memories he was trying to keep, she'd throw something heavy at him.
It didn't make sense...why would he wipe out the location and not the whole thing? If he had tried to use that stuff on her she would have fought back...he saved himself a few injuries. Melly wouldn't speak of this place to anyone, but she'd be keeping an eye on Maud'Dip.
