The young Anomid took the ration pack with still-shaking hands, and simply listened to the other soldiers talking for a while as he tried to open the bag. What kind of contraption was this? he tried pulling on it, ripping it, ripping it again, but the package only retained its shape. What sort of magic was this!? Tilting his head, the Anomid frowned, contemplating his dilemma. Lyalill then leaned forward and tried biting into the wrap, but that didn't work either. So, he tried to bite again. As he pulled back his lips to help try and tear it, he jumped a bit as Yulan ruffled his hair. Looking up at him, he tilted his head, watching the hair disappear. He was occupied, however, by hunger. He was really hungry. enough to not comment on his new friend.
Looking back to the bag, Lyalill tried to rip it open once more, but it slipped from his hands and onto the floor of the LAAT. Bending down to pick it up, Lyalill had hardly reached for the bag, when it... Came to him. Not immediately, but it just lifted into his hands. Looking at it as if it were a new piece of technology, he tilted his head, confused. Definitely confused. Yet, curious. He looked up at Yulan, and dropped the bag experimentally, before looking back to it and reaching out again. It came to him again. Surprised, he turned his gaze to Yulan, staring at the soldier as if he had just handed him the world. The Anomid was convinced it was the bag that had done it on its own.

I picked up the comlink and listened in. As i listened i watched the boy do things i only saw Jedi do. He amazed me but his ability. I was startled by my name being called but immediately replied.
"Yes you can trust me, and i already found the chip, problem is i don't want him to go through that pain. And I can't sedate him either due to his Anomid blood. But i can deactivate the chip, which i'm doing now."
I turn off the com and get some spare cloths for the boy, putting them on him. I put a device on his shirt that deactivated the chip. I pick up the boy and put him on my shoulders. I put the ration back in my pouch and had the idea to take the boy out instead.
"Hey kid, what's your favorite food?"

Favorite food? Oh... They were... Going to go out to eat? This surprised the Anomid. He signed to the man before he was lifted, Aihkuta. It was an Anomid dish- expensive in this area. Made from rich, sugary crust and a very thick, chocolatey filling, the pastries were made with rare ingredients, but were always a delicacy. However, there was one problem.
He was freaking out.
Lyalill did NOT like ANY sort of heights. He had horrible balance, and not to mention, bad memories with being held and carried high. He clung to Yulan's neck in a vice grip, unaware that he was potentially choking the soldier. He was shaking, and fought to be let down. He did NOT want to be this high. "Ah-Ah-Ah..." He made small noises as he tried to get down, only to be pried from the Mandalorian's back by Omega. Once situated on the ground, he immediately stumbled, but held onto Yulan's hand tightly, standing close with wide blue eyes.

I thought of the dish the boy asked for and knew the perfect place. It was only after Omega took the Anomid off my neck that i realized the boy was afraid of heights. I patted the boys head as i helped him off the gunship. We began walking towards a cafe when i stopped at the door and held the boy close to my leg. Two more red armored Mandolorians descended from flight in front of us. "Copaani gaan al'verde?" They walked towards us unarmed. I nodded towards them and walked into the cafe while they stood guard. Once inside i ordered the Aihkuta for the boy and a gihaal for me. I nudged the bartender and asked if the doors were sound proof, receiving a slight smirk for a response. As our food arrived sounds of blaster fire was heard outdoor, but i just continued eating like nothing was happening. Soon the sound stopped and the two Mando'ad walked through the door and sat next to me. "Ke nu'jurkadir sha Mando'ade."

The small Anomid pulled himself up onto the seat tentatively next to Yulan. He almost expected someone to scold him, or deliver a clout to his ear for being on the 'Master's stool, but nobody did. He sat as close as he could to the Soldier, glancing around warily, not trusting anyone at the moment. How could he trust anyone? He had been raped mercilessly all his life.
His tense stature broke, however, as the tender brought out the two pastries for him. Aihkuta were a dessert- not a meal. He needed the protein and body fat badly, however, so the knowing bartender had mixed a few vitamin syrups into the filling, after a careful look and nod at the Soldier. Lyalill was on awe as the treats were brought to him, and glanced up at his new companion, unsure if these were really for him.
But then two tall, rather scary-looking men in red strode in. Lyalill hadn't heard the blaster shots- his hearing wasn't as good as his other senses. Pressing close to Yulan, he tentatively lifted a pastry to his lips and took a small bite. Oh, God, they were so good... He took another bite, then another, another, "Mm.." he made a small noise to show Yulan that he was enjoying this immensely. He finished the first pastry within a minute, and scarfed down the second as well. Hungry, hungry, Anomid...

I heard the noises of please from the young Anomid and signed asking if he wanted another. The first Mando'ad removed his helmet revealing another clone, his grin from one side of his face to the other asking if he could get a treat to. This was Dradis. The other sat down and began going through the security cameras in the area, this was Havoc. I looked at the menu and ordered a Rancor Malt for Dradis so he'd calm down, before directing my attention to a shadowy person in the back. Once i noticed him i held the boy closer as he ate.

More? He could have more if he wanted? This was the best day of his life. It was absolutely the best day of his whole life. The Anomid nodded to the Soldier beside him, though the bartender shook his head. We're all out. Sorry, kid. Gonna have to pick something else.
Lyalill blinked. Well, he didn't really know any other food. The little food he ate was always just scraps from what Master had- he tilted his head and observed what the two new soldiers were saying. He saw one smiling at him, and smiled back softly. He brushed a few soft locks of white hair from his face, and watched him eat. Not stalkerishly, of course, but he was curious. Anomid's were like kittens- always eager to learn new things.
When Yulan pulled him close, he blinked, but didn't mind it. It made him feel safe. He rested his head on the Soldier's chest plate, looking up at the menu in the foreign language. He frowned, and closed his pretty blue eyes, shifting his position a bit. He was beginning to feel tired, but also hungry. He blinked open his eyes once more. He signed to the man. Kai'Tome?

I nodded acknowledging that he was still hungry, i signed asking what he wanted that they had. Before he could answer the shadowy figure in the back stood up and pulled out a blaster aiming for the boy. I pulled the boy into my chest as the man shot his first round. I ordered Havoc to make cover out of the tables and Dradis to open fire. I ducked behind the table with the Anomid in arms. I pulled out my tri-blaster and fired one shot killing the figure. About 30 seconds later the police officers entered and began interrogating the customers. Havoc walks up and begins giving a report to the senior officer.
"Kid, you all right?"

The small Anomid studied The menu hazily, and was about to ask for a small plate of fish, when he was shoved tot he side. He let out a startled squeak and rolled with Yulan, clinging to him for dear life. He was terrified now, convinced the man was smuggling him for a pretty penny. In his terror, Lyalill had soiled himself. He saw a few patrons crack up laughing at him. Once he realized what had happened, he curled up into a pitiful ball into the curve of Yulan's armor, trying to hide from the drunken taunts. He was shaking. He could handle sign, K-K-Kai-Kai'tome-tome...
However, as he lay trembling, a tarp had come to him, in the same mysterious way the packet had. It covered him completely, hiding him from view. The Anomid began to cry silently. He was too damaged not to.

I held now crying Anomid, rubbing his hair. I looked at the laughing bafoons, pulled out a knife and threw it going pass one of them's eye. He looked at my enraged face and they all fell silent. I picked up the boy and clicked my tongue twice, signaling the command to head out. Dradis and Havoc slipped on their helmets and proceeded ahead of me. Once outside we headed towards the speeder lot. Once there an LAAT was awaiting us. We boarded it and was greeted by my general. She looked at the Anomid and smiled. "What a handsome young man. Yulan, were's general Vang?" "I don't know m'am."
The general held out her arms and took the boy and held him, rocking back and forth like a mother would. She commanded the the pilot to take off and head for Vang's last location.

Slowly quieting, finding himself tired, the Anomid opened his pastel eyes to see a woman's face above him. The small boy was too young to be this broken, this damaged. He closed his eyes, relaxing in her arms, when something slit his shoulder.
With a cry, the Anomid wrenched himself from her arms, stumbling back on the cold ground. A trooper had tried to cut the chip from his shoulder. Lyalill was definitely not expecting it, and felt faint from his racing heart rate. "G-ghhnun..." he made a distressed noise, pressing back against the wall of the LAAT. "Nn..." Noises were all the Anomid had.

I turned when i heard the boy cried. There general had her eyes closed so she never saw the clone come up to the boy. No one told the trooper to remove the now deactive chip. The Anomid was now backed against the wall of the gunship as i proceeded to yell at the trooper. General Desteana walked over towards the Anomid and began to comfort him. She began speaking in a language unfamiliar to me but i assumed it was the boys native language. "Don't cry little one, you won't be hurt anymore. Don't cry." (note:i'm only putting down translation)

Lyalill did not trust anyone now. He had been hurt by the republic too, now. The petite boy tried to struggle out of the jedi's grasp, his tear stained eyes wide and raw from fear. He just wanted to go one day without pain. one day. The trooper claimed that he had read that the chip was activating again, but it was clear the incision on the Anomid's shoulder was more than just physical. He kept making distressed whimpers, fighting with the little strength he had. Finally, exhausted, he gave up, curling up on the floor. He was shaking.

The general sensed the boy's distrust for us and used her force abilities to heal his wounds. I continued to chew the clone out and ordered everyone to stay away from him. The gunship arrived at Vang's last location and dropped of a search team and began to bring us to another building. I pulled out a chip from behind my ear and activated it opening a garage. We landed and i gently picked up the Anomid, bringing him to a table with food on it. Three more clones came out and began to great us and say their greetings to Lyalill. I turned to him and said kindly,"Ok kid, here's the plan, we're getting you back to your home planet, to your people." I knew he hated the republic and the Slavers, but our group was neither of them.
Two woman appeared from the kitchen, a Twilek and a human. Dradis walked up to the human and gave her a kiss on the cheek before he went to the table. "You see, unlike the Republic, we want our people to have lives, including Jedi. And you Lyalill are a special kid." Around the room stood a totel of 5 clones and 3 woman, excluding me and the general. In the other room were the children of two of the couples. This was our group's home, and it welcomed all who wanted a better life than the Republic offered.

The Anomid looked absolutely exhausted when he was bought in. Limp in Yulan's arms, the painfully skinny boy's eyes were half closed, oceanic irises clouded by the lack of nourishment. Lyalill nearly fell off the chair he was sat on, ending up grabbing onto Dradis' arm for support. He slowly looked up to the clone with an uneasy expression, but found that he needed the man's arm to even hold himself up. Lyalill closed his eyes and rested his head against the bicep plate of Dradis' armor.
As he listened to Yulan tell him about how they were different, Lyalill barely opened his eyes. How could he? Without rest for so long... Even leaning against a plasteroid plate on some man's arm was comfortable. Lyalill only nodded subtly in acknowledgement, in fear f raising his trembling hands to sign. He didn't want to fall.
