I was browsing some stuff on Wookieepedia, and went to C-3PO's page, trying to find something. What I found instead, is this:
I know that this was technically done to not kill off a main and very much loved character, but it makes you wonder if there was a hidden reason. Maybe Vader felt bad about 3PO, or maybe he had a quick thought of his past. Just seems kinda weird, and as if the whole story wasn't told.

I don't know. I think that Vader is a misunderstood character. :/

I don't know. I think that Vader is a misunderstood character. :/ There's not a lot misunderstood about him. He wanted to save his wife, but failed, and because of his want to save her, he allowed himself to be manipulated.

He is afraid to lose anybody. He lost his mother in his arms. He lost ahsoka and then he was having dreams about losing his wife. The last thing he really cared About. He did not trust the jedi when the war started. He knew they kept hings from them and there trust in him started to change and he knew that.
