"This should do it." Garyn muttered to himself as he finished tweaking his armor. He was always trying to make his armor and weapons the best they could be as to prevent any screw ups or botched gadgets. It was a must for a Fett to be anal about their equipment, and make sure everything works perfectly before and after a mission. It was something everyone in his family had done, and Garyn was no different. Pausing, Garyn turned to look at his lightsabers - these were the lightsabers he found in a hidden location that he assumed his parents hid. His mother was a force user, but had she been a Jedi? He didn't know, but he did know his great uncle had been. If his mother had been a Jedi, could that be why she and Garyn's father were killed? It makes sense. So many questions that are still unanswered. Questions that nag at Garyn nonstop.
Order 66 was something Garyn could never forget. So many innocent Jedi, possibly including his mother and father, lives lost because of lies, deceit, and Skywalker's betrayal. It angered Garyn to no extent, which is why he hated Vader with a passion. While Garyn wasn't a Jedi, he didn't see them as enemies, or as weak peace keepers. The Jedi had certain codes that Garyn agreed with, and most Jedi were as loyal and nice as could be. Only reason Garyn wasn't a Jedi was because he didn't like being held back by a code that could determine if he's good or bad. He did what he had to, no matter the cost. That's not to say Garyn would follow a Sith's path and kill innocents to complete a mission, not by a long shot. Just means he is not restricted by any rules, regulations, or masters.
His train of thought was disturbed as he sensed someone approaching the door to his armory. "Come." he called.
"If only I had your talents, I could ignore people I don't want to answer the door to." The Kaleesh communications officer said as he walked in.
Garyn chuckled. "It gets annoying after a while, especially when you have a child who wants to play scare you." He smiled, thinking of Arya and her playfulness.
"Good point." He laughed, and stood by Garyn. "The officers up in the Destroyer just heard on the comms that there may be a Jedi hiding out on Naboo."
"What?!?!" Garyn said loudly, surprised. "Did they say exactly where?" As he spoke, Garyn began to gear up, knowing exactly what he had to do.
"Unfortunately, no. However, they did say his name was Kato Black.
The fact that the Empire had figured out the name of a hiding Jedi bothered Garyn greatly. What if the little remaining Jedi there are weren't as anonymous as they thought? Walking over to his computer, Garyn typed in the name, and looked at the info for him. "Says he's a Jedi Master who trained under Qui-Gon Jinn. Impressive. If this fellow has taken Qui-Gon's teachings and put them in affect, he won't be a pushover to the Sith or Empire."
"Your ship has been prepped already."
"Thank you." Garyn said as he finished getting geared up. Attaching his light sabers, Garyn breathed heavily. This would be difficult in every aspect. Kato would probably be suspicious and hostile to Garyn since he did randomly show up and know his name. In the other aspect, the Imperials and/or Sith could already be on their way to him. After saying goodbye to his daughter, Garyn hopped into his ship and flew off to Naboo. He just hoped it wasn't too late.
---- On Naboo
Garyn's assumptions that Kato was powerful were accurate. He did not detect a force user here, so either Kato was masking his signature, or he wasn't here. If it was the latter, Garyn was so screwed...and possibly Kato. Essentially, Garyn was blind. He didn't know where to begin looking for a Jedi. Maybe the Naboo Security Force could help him? No. No Jedi would take a risk in identifying their Jedi status to a simple security guard. Instead, Garyn had an idea, and asked around, inquiring if anyone knew of a Kato Black. Surprisingly, the first person he asked told him Kato owned a mansion. This surprised the hell out of Garyn. This Jedi was living the fancy life...and he was still alive? Either he had an amazing security team, or he was just powerful enough to fend off the Empire. That, or he was living under an alias. Maybe Kato wasn't his real name? Hopefully Garyn would be able to find out...eventually.
The mansion was easy to find, the problem now was a fully armor clad Mandalorian was about to knock on a Jedi's door and asked to be invited in. Never in a million years would Garyn of thought this would happen. Shaking his head at the predicament, Garyn rang the door bell (ooc: or just knocked. ), and waited for someone. If he had a mansion, he'd have butlers...right? Imagine being a butler and opening the door to a Mandalorian in full armor..someone would shit themselves. When the door did open, Garyn spoke quietly, but loud enough to be heard. "I was told Kato Black lives here? I request to have a moment of his time." From here, things could go good or bad. If they went bad, and Kato immediately attacked Garyn, or his security did, Garyn would be forced to disarm them and make them listen that he wasn't a threat. If it went good, Garyn would have a simple sit down with Kato, and all would be well. Garyn laughed inwardly. When have things ever gone right?
