Bio (short version)-
As child born on Nar Shaddaa, Taren had lived a life of homelessness. His mother and father had died after they were killed by gangsters and Taren's home was destroyed, casting the boy out into the streets. Taren was discovered to be strong in the Force, and often used his Force talents to survive as well as avoid numerous thugs and street gangs. The Jedi had discovered him and took him to Coruscant to be trained as a Jedi.
As a Padawan, Taren was shown to be arrogant, aggressive and he often disobeyed and argued constantly with his Masters. He had even at one point struck down a fellow student in cold blood during a training session. Taren was soon counciled and had learned to control his emotions, although he struggled with his anger many times.
When the Clone Wars had begun, Taren had by then earned the rank of Jedi Knight. Taren had become a respected general in the Clone Wars and even was the head Commander of his own squad of Clone Troopers.
Taren had led a successful mission to the planet of Yavin 4 with a squad of Clones in order to stop the Separatists from creating a base within the Massassi Temple. Taren had gathered useful information during this conflict that would help the Republic win many battles in the ongoing struggle of the War. Even though Taren was a Jedi in the Clone Wars, he proved to use unorthodox methods, and even issued harsh and strict orders toward his troops. Despite this, Taren was viewed as a worthy member of the Jedi Order.

Taren turned to his Clone Captain, "Captain, tell your men to scout ahead, we need to keep moving if we are to locate the Separatists in this area!" "Yes sir!!" The Clone saluted, as he led his men toward an ancient temple. Taren and his men were stationed on the planet of Lehon. Lehon was once home to the Rakata, an ancient species that existed nearly a Millennia ago before the birth of the Republic. Taren learned that almost 1,000 or so years ago, Darth Bane had destroyed the Temple of the Ancients after he had located Darth Revan's Holocron.
