"You let her get AWAY?!" Richard was at the urge of screaming. "UGH MORONS!"
The Captain spun around, looking at the blood trail across the floor. Rediculous; simply rediculous. Was she that determined to get away? Was she set on dying? Richard wanted to give up. It was pointless to waste his time on fleeing Generals that wanted to die. His brothers were lying in their death beds. He didn't have time for this.
"GENERAL. IF YOU WANT TO DIE, STAY WHERE YOU ARE THEN. I GIVE UP! YOU WIN! WHEN THAT RIB COMES LOOSE AND PUNCTURES YOUR LUNG AND YOU SUFFOCATE ON YOUR OWN BLOOD I WILL BE STANDING THERE LAUGHING!"
Frustrated, pissed off, and aggravated beyond belief, Richard spun on his heel and marched out of the medbay.
"CHOPPER!" He thundered. He couldn't leave the general to die, but he couldn't force them into cooperating anyway. The medic had begun to realise that Chopper's, or maybe even just any soldier's presence over did the medical one. for once, Richard needed help.

"Cool your helmet, Captain," KJ-345 said as he walked into the room carrying a sedated general. "This general has a phobia with medics," he said with a snort. "Some odd reason she and Chopper get along fine together AND they also happen to know how to get through to each other's thick skulls." The Sargeant gently laid Kayla down on the stretcher. "And you guys," he added, glaring at the five medics. "You guys are morons for letting her off the stretcher and letting her get away," he added with a growl.
Kayla was for once calm and was barely breathing in her sleep. "CHOPPER!" boomed KJ-345. "Get the oxygen tank. The General's oxygen level low making it hard for her to breathe along with her ribs," he added.
"Ah," Kayla said as she gripped the pillow and clutched it. "Back off," she snapped at the other medic as she glanced at Richard. "Only he can touch me and..." She trailed off, passing out.

Chopper stopped when he heard yelling, continued walking, then stopped again when he saw the Captain leaving the room calling his name. "Yes, sir?" Chopper snapped to attention. Then he heard another call his name. It appears he was needed everywhere. He raised an eyebrow at the Captain that approached him.
"I take it she's run off, then was found again." The trooper mused. An oxygen tank? Things didn't sound very good for Kayla, and it made Chopper frown. What has she gotten herself into? It was problematic, and Chopper made a mental note to talk to her about it later.
"I'll follow you, sir."
He entered the room and walked over to Kayla. He frowned at her state and sighed. He honestly hoped that the medic's wouldn't mind his presence, but they did ask for his 'help'. He grabbed the oxygen tank and left it by the foot of the stretcher. He stood by her head and gently stroked her forhead with his thumb. "No worries." He said quietly, just for the two of them. "I've got you."

Richard gave a quick nod to Chopper. Glad to see SOMEONE payed attention to rank. Good man. He gave another stiff nod and spun on his heel to face the trooper that had come in. Who did he think he was. Watching the sargeant come in and place Kayla down, the Captain growled. Rock. Paper. Rank. Richard wins.
He watched the general's face a moment longer, feeling the outrage bubble a little. Taking a steadying breath, that was very obvious, he approached the sargeant slowly. "You heard the General, sargeant..." He said calmly. "Let the Captain do his work."
He approached General Solo, and felt her wrist for a pulse. "Why do they always insist on knocking everyone that causes trouble out?" He made a mental note, then walked around to the other side. "Any kind of sedative does have calming effects yes, enough to put her asleep is considered an anesthesia. Side effects are usually nausia and often times vomiting when in certain situations." The captain removed his helmet and gloves setting them aside. He worked quickly, taking thick bandage from his pack and setting them out neatly. He removed any IVs or sedative tubes he could find. "Is she's sick again, the ribs may come loose. I DON'T want her asleep. NO medication that has a side effect of vomitting, heart increase, or blood thinner." His gaze never left the General and his work.

Kayla felt Chopper stroke her forehead. She knew he had a job to do. She smiled slightly as she groaned. "I'm fine...just hurt," she said as she felt a wave a nausea hit and she gagged. She didn't argue with Richard. Her eyes fluttered shut.
KJ-321 came in the room and put Kayla's oxygen mask on her and left the room.
Kayla's eyes opened back up and she gasped and felt air fill her up. "What the hell?" she asked in a muffled voice and she closed her eyes and breathed in the oxygen.

Chopper bit his lip, good thing he was wearing his helmet. He wasn't fond of seeing Kayla in a lot of pain, but he knew that Captain Richard was one of the best medics they had. His past was a bit of a mystery, but still, he was good at what he did. He continued to keep a hold of her face, hopefully it would help keep her calm.
Chopper watched the medic enter and leave without a sound and smirked. Served him right. He just got chewed out by an officer. He looked down as Kayla woke up again. "Just relax. He's gone, and Richard's gonna get you fixed up. Then you'll be running aroudn scrapping clankers with me in no time!"

Richard's gaze never left his work, but his hearing was as good as ever. He couldn't catch the first bit Chopper said, but he heard what he said when she woke. His eyes narrowed slightly, making a mental note to talk to Chopper about it later. He might be getting closer to the General then he'd wish; in fact it may result in going Jangoed. He took a deep breath to clear his mind and set back to work.
"Glad to see you're finally awake." He mused, glancing over at her face. "Just keep taking relaxing breaths. I'll give you more blood in a bit, once I brace the ribs from moving further. I could use a metal plate and screw the rib in place, but I don't think you'ld like to go threw a few hours of surgery." He said straight forward.
In fact, that's what Richard wanted to do. It allowed the General to have more movement as limited as it would be for her, but he didn't want to have to put her to sleep yet. He needed her to be stable and steady before he risked a sedation. If she kept slipping into unconsciousness, then he would still need to wait.
"I'll be quick, but this may hurt a little." Being as gently as possible, Richard slid strips of bandage underneath Kayla's back, lifting her slightly to fit it through. Brief as it was, he was still very cautious in case she threw a punch. It shouldn't have hurt, but one can enver be to sure. He continued to roll the bandage across the section of her torso where the rib was broken. It wold provide a little stabalism until he could screw plates.

Kayla liked having Chopper by her side and then she narrowed her eyes at him. "Ain't me getting nearly killed by clankers got me in the med bay in the first place?" she retorted sarcastically.
"YEOUCH!" she yelled when Richard undid the bandages and then touched her and then without paying much attention, she aimmed a whack upside the back of his head. "That fucking hurt," she growled as she breathed in the oxygen. "On second thought send the sargeant so I can smack him for strapping me to this death trap," she mused with a grin behind her oxygen mask.

Chopper bolted his hand forward to grab Kayla's hand before she could get close, but he was to late. SMACK. The trooper instantly flinched away. General or not, Richard had no helmet on and that must have hurt.. or stung... maybe even both. "Death trap or not, Captain Richard is trying to help you." Chopper growled, thankful for the fact she was strapped down. He had no clue what to do but attempt to keep her distracted. He bit his lip. He was very thankful she ha her snarky personality back thought; she was a step closer to recovery and with it came relief.

Richard didn't flinch. The hand contacted with the back of his head, but the medical officer stood strong. The noise was heard, but not once did he jolt, or loose the steadyness of his hands. He had seen worse; dying troopers did crazy things in their state. There were times when they grabbed for his face, leaving bloody finger marks in his skin.
He placed his left hand, the hand closest to Kayla and Chopper, on his cheek, feeling the fingers from his dying brothers. That hand only had four fingers, the ring finger nothing but an empty space. He remembered it so clearly, a detonator had gone off and the clone had been hit in the side with a chunk of debris. The metal clanker plate and stuck into his side and as Richard did all in his power to help, the trooper still managed to place a bloody hand print before dying.
The memory burned, and for a moment he stood still doing nothing. Shaking his head quickly, he set back to work. He finished tying the bandages across the General's chest and exhaled threw his nose deeply. He stood back for a moment, then reached around to start setting up the blood IV. Oxygen would help, and she had lost a lot of blood. He said nothing.

Kayla glared at Chopper. "I didn't do it on purpose," she said innocently. "Not my fault for pinched---Yeouch!" She gripped the side of the bed as she closed her eyes as Richard finished up wrapping her chest. She breathed in the oxygen and exhaled softly. No lie her body hurt like hell. "Still have to screw the ribs?" she asked as her eyes sparkled with tears in them slightly as she blinked them back, but they trailed down her face slightly.

Chopper continued to gently stroke her face. It was all he felt that he could do; to be honest he had no idea what to do. He squeezed his eyes shut as she heard her call out, trying his best not to imagine the pain. His teeth clenched, and he groudn them slightly. He just kept trying to comfort her. At her voice, he opened his eyes again. To his surprise he saw tears. It made his chest feel tight for some odd reason, and he gently wiped them away.
He didn't know what to say. If the ribs needed to be screwed, then he knew Kayla would be put to sleep for it. She wouldn't feel a thing, still, the thought was disturbing enough as it is.

Richard flexed his fingers, shaking off the feeling. What was in the past was there, and it stayed put. Grumbling, he reached into a cooler and took out a few bags of blood. Setting a machine on the floor, he set the pouch into it and turned it on. So old fasioned, he smiled at it. He flicked the needle of the IV where Kayla couldn't see and approached the stretcher yet again. "Stay still. It'll be like a small mosquito bite." He said softly. Most people didn't like needles, but if he was quick, there would be no worry. Sliding the small needle into place, he taped it there and attached the tubes to start having the blood flow into her system.
Looking up for the first time, she caught the look on her face. He blinked, surprise on his face momentarily. He gently placed a three fingered hand on her shoulder. "No, we can't yet. You need to be completely stable first. When the time comes, I'll let you know. You won't feel a single thing. Promise." He actually gave a small smile. This was no time for his snarky self, so he decided to keep it cool for now.

Kayla blinked softly as Chopper brushed a tear back and she gave him a weak smile. "I'm okay," she said. "Just sore as hell."
When Richard assured her that they couldn't start yet she sighed impatiently. Curse human body thank god for bounty hunting skills and Jedi powers.
"In that case I wanna sit up some at least," she said with a grumble. "Ouch," she said as she breathed in and caught sight of the IV and blood and her eyes widen.
"Get that the hell away from me," she grumbled as she started to reach for the needles. "Or at least can you undo the straps?" she asked politely. "So I can rest better at least so I can breathe better?" She added with raised eyes. "And maybe I'll behave."

Chopper smiled behind his helmet at her. HE knew she couldn't see him, but he could still see her. It eased the pain in his chest slightly to see she was somewhat beginning to deal with things, and he sighed with relief. Not for long though "Hey, hey! Idiot!" He said behind clenched teeth, trying to retain Kayla from moving.
"The hole in your leg made you loose a ton of blood, Captain Richard is just putting it back in. There's nothing to panic about, so suck it up." If Kayla was getting back to normal, then so was Chopper. He had began to relax since she was moving about a little more. He managed to grab a hold of her arm and stop her from pulling out the needles.
