A jedi?! Now Jaggary was intruiged. This was clearly no ordinary Jedi. He kept to the shadows, eyes reflecting any light with the given effect of a glow. He stopped in the shadows, reaching up to pet Biff gently to keep him quiet. The lizard was twitching with excitement and Jaggary couldn't afford him making noise.
He watched the play of events take fold, wondering it if would be appropriate to step in or not. He changed directions and snuck to the shadows in behind the man with the gun. Jaggary knew that if this bounty hunter was a jedi, then she could handle battle fair enough and didn't need his help, but regardless, you never know. the jedi was pulling him on, making him aggravated. This would be most interesting.
A blaster bolt shot by, missing Jaggary by inches. He jumped back in surprise. Man that guy had way to much drink. Biff on his shoulder squeaked loudly, and Jaggary had to clamp a hand on its mouth to shut it up. "Shh...." He soothed gently, his eyes never leaving the fighting pair.

The male missed. He was too disoriented to do anything and cursed himself for the sloppiness. "I'll get you." His eyes scanned the area but it was no use. Suddenly a blue flash appeared before him, which caused him to just back in fright. It was ten times brighter and louder than what a normal person would have experienced. Melly had jumped in front of him and began to cut into his flesh with her weapon.
She was not a Jedi, she wasnt anything. Her profression was smuggling--she had been doing it since she was young. But she could easily switch jobs and do pretty much anything for the right price. Within reason, of course. Nothing under 1000 credits. That's how good she was.
The lightsaber penetrated his chest, which caused the male to scream out on pain. Every word that came out of his mouth was a curse. He was losing, and he knew it. Melly removed the blade from his body and let him fall to his knees. "You're nothing but a waste of space!" She barked at him, then left him there to die. It wouldn't take long.
Suddenly a loud squeak attracted her attention. Her head turned towards the noise. She wasn't alone. "Who's there!?" She spotted the silhouette of another creeping in the shadows. Melly darted towards the being and held her saber up in defense. "Show yourself, unless you want to suffer the same fate!"

"Didn't know Jedi held such a temper!" Jaggary said surprised, as he left the safety of the shadows to make himself visible. He surely did not want to end up as mincemeat, but even if he had decided it was best to flee, it still would have been possible. He wasn't a fool, and he had been able to escape Jedi before.
Something about the way she mercilessly attacked made him rethink the whole jedi theory. Normally, Jedi don't slice and dice.
"I certainly have no desire to end up cut to ribbons, although I'm sure your attacker is having a grand ol' time." He chuckled. The legs on his back stretched out and gripped the ground incase Jaggary had to make a hasty retreat, the claws digging into the sand and adding to the over all vastness of his size.

Melly narrowed her eyes at the male. Her guard was up as was her weapon. She had him, and he showed it with his reactions. He may have been bigger than she was, but the bigger you are the harder you fall. "I'm not a Jedi." She spoke. "Anything but." Her eyes were daggers as she stared up at him. "What are you doing here?"
The girl could have been a Jedi. She had the chance at one point, but 'turned it down' as one would say. Melly was force sensitive and knew how to use it to and extent.
Her palm flew forward towards the little lizard on his shoulder and snatched it up with the force. She held the creature in the air in front of his face and stared at the spider with a deadly expression. "Tell me who you are...or I'll crush your little pet before you can blink." Even if he attacked her, the lizard would be killed before she would. Mellys patience was thin after being shot at.

Biff squirmed and spat to the best of his ability. It hissed and writhered, showing more of it's lizard side then it's cat like personality. Its fangs glittered in the little light there was.
Jaggary's eyes shot wide as Biff was pulled from his shoulder. 'Jedi my ass!' He growled, the sound emitting from his throat, low and deep. His fangs raised slightly as his face revealed a snarl. It was hard trying to keep his cool.
"Like I had said earlier, my curiousity will be the death of me. I was actually going to return to my... place... and it so happened to be at the same time as the babbling drunkard."
He advanced a few paces then stopped still, completely exposed and away from the shadow. She wanted to see him, then so he would. His growling faded slightly. "He seemed rather aggravated, and when he drew the pistol I decided to follow."
All signs of hostility were gone. Finally getting a hold of himself, Jaggary stowed the rage where it sat unhappily but contained for the time being. It was only his voice that lowered to a whisper and maintained the dark tone. He hissed softly.
"Hssss.... I know you can take care of yourself, you wouldn't be here if you couldn't. All do respect, but release my friend before I have to crack necks and shatter bones. I'll be on my way now..."

Melly bared her teeth at him. She was angry and made it clear. "You didn't answer my question. TELL ME who you are." The lizard flew backwards and was now hovering just in front of her. She had no intention of harming the creature, but he didn't know that. "Go ahead and kill me if you want. I'll make sure this thing is dead before you can even touch me."
It was dark now. The only thing that illuminated her was the lightsaber. "See, it's not good to have companions. They can easily be used, or turn, against you. It's a good thing I got rid of that scum while I could. Perhaps you should do the same." Mel was speaking out of anger now. "I'm not a Jedi, but I don't give two shits about what you think. That'll be the last time I say it. I'm nothing more than you are." She took a step forward to show her own hostility, slightly shocked that he hadn't tried to make a move yet.

Jaggary growled as Biff was taken away. It had been his companion for years, the two had never been aprted for longer then a few hours at a time. It enraged him to know that his friend was being taken away. Biff had taught him stealth, to sneak and to match one's stride with silence.
His back legs 'punched the ground', lifting slightly then slamming back into the sand with a thud. He couldn't make a move with biff being held prisoner.
"Biff is my reminder that company is still worthwhile." He spat angrily, his eyes glowing deep red. His back legs clawed at the ground. "Perhaps it be worth while for you to learn what 'companionship' actually is. The lack of company has made you irritable." He added quietly, more to himself.
He took a few steps closer, using his back legs to lift him off the ground and put him down a little closer. The tension was tough, and if Jaggary wanted Biff to survive he needed to act now. "Jaggary, and my friend there is Biff." He said at last, not once backing down. He watched the six legged lizard squirm and finally meet his gaze. It relaxed slightly, but still tried to escape uselessly.

Melly glared at him as he spoke. "Unfortunately, as you have witnessed, mine tried to kill me. And you would too if I didn't have your friend 'Biff' here." He was at the wrong place at the wrong time. She had gotten paranoid though. "Who's to say once I give him back that you won't kill me? How can I trust you?"
Her voice eventually trailed off. "Jaggary." She echoed. 'I'll remember that.' She thought to herself. "Better than 'thing' I suppose, or 'creepy'." Melly deactivated the lightsaber and stood up straight, a sign that she was starting to cool off. However, his companion would not yet be returned.

Jaggary was taken aback. He snapped his head back, the back legs shifting to a more relaxed position than the 'intimidating dance'. he blinked a few times, trying to think of a proper answer. He had no intention on harming this woman, he just wanted his friend back.
"I haven't been paid a single cent to kill you, so why would I?" He stood back, tilting his head slightly to one side. He studied her face for expressions. "Yes. Jaggary is much better then........ 'creepy'. I find myself not creepy at all." He said semi-offendedly. he stroked his chin.
"How about I put it this way, on my honour and pride I will not attack you should you return Biff to me unharmed."

Melly raised a brow and stared him down...well, more like up. He had not given her a reason not to trust him, and he didn't once try to attack her. Her guard lowered as did her frustration. She lowered the lizard to the ground and let it fall just a few inches. Once out of her grasp if could do want it wished.
"Fine, I guess that's a good enough reason..."
She watched the little creature to see it's reaction, then glanced back up at Jaggary. Would he keep his word? It was hard for her to trust him, but she had to. If they actually fought each other there was a good chance that he would win. After all, if HE couldn't handle himself then he wouldn't be here. Same as her. Of course she did just figure out one of his weaknesses. "Why do you care so much about...Biff?" She questioned him. "He can't possibly be useful in any way."

Jaggary nodded. His pride and honour were big enough to worth putting on the line. After all, all you needed to do was watch his politeness and the way he speaks. He had an ego, Jaggary didn't even deny it. He was relieved as he watched the lizard land on the ground.
Biff squeaked as it hit the ground and he took off. It shot away from Melly and toward the familiar bulky shape. It hardly made a sound in the sand as it bounded its way over to Jaggary. Without a second thought it gripped right on to his leg and scurried all the way up like a squirrel. It sat ontop of his shoulder, yawned, then did a lap around Jaggary's neck purring loudly. It came to rest on his shoulder, blinking at his kidnapper innocently.
Jaggary reached up to scratch Biff ontop of his head. He raised an eyebrow inthe woman's direction. He had nothing to lose telling her how he came to be a bounty hunter, or atleast the significance of Biff. He had nothing to hide.
"Well if you must know, Miss ............... Mysterious............ Biff is rather useless. I've been trying to convince him to spit acid, but he never really cares to listen. Plus, try sneaking around a giant city when you're my size. First lesson I learned: stealth, taught by the useless Biff."
Biff purred loudly.

The girl watched as the creature rushed away from her. It seemed to be relieved to be able to run back to its master. Secretly she envied him. In fact, it was kind of cute...especially when it blinked at her. She looked away quickly.
"I was never going to hurt him..." She admitted.
Melly tilted her head and gave the male spider a confused look as he spoke. She looked as though she was staring at a crazy person. "You learned stealth...from him?" She questioned, taking a step forth with hesistation. "That's hard to believe..."
She chuckled at the thought of a giant spider mimicing a tiny little lizard. "Everybody I know calls me Melly." She shrugged at him, still pretty intrigued. It wasn't her real name. "If he's so useless...why keep him around?" Mel had began to dig a little without realizing it. She was a naturally curious person but it rarely showed.

Jaggary's mouth curved into a small smirky smile. She had peeked her interest now. He continued to pet Biff, who purred so loud he might explode.
"He's been through pretty rough situations." Biff may have just been near death, but Jaggary always had confidence in his abilities to keep the lizard safe. It was still nice to know that she wasn't going to kill him.
He laughed, a sudden outburst. "You wouldn't believe it, but yes. He had. Note I was very young at the time. I actually mistook him at first for a cat. Just the way he moved. I fed him somekind of dried fruit and he's followed me ever since. I mimicked his actions, and he actually seems to understand. If you talk to him, it's almost as if he acknowledges. He's actually more useful then one thinks."
Biff squeaked happily and watched his master talk. He added little chirps here and there, and bobbed his head occasionally. He blinked at Melly and yawned before laying down on Jaggary's shoulder. He rubbed his cheek against the spider fur of his neck.
Jaggary turned his head back to face the woman. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Melly."

Melly blinked. It was weird hearing someone else, especially him, say her name.
"We've already met.."
Still, she watched them both. They made quite a pair. "I can see how you'd mistake him for a cat. Doesn't look threatening at all. Just a small teddy bear." She smiled slightly, but it faded quickly. One hand raised and rubbed the back of her head nervously. "Sorry Biff."
The girl turned and scanned the area for her former partner. He had fallen dead a little while ago. She padded towards the body and lifted both the bag and blaster, slinging it around her shoulder and strapping the weapon to her belt. The brown robe hid it well enough so that it looked as if it wasn't even there. There wasn't much left in te bag. She'd have to go through it later.
"How come I haven't seen you around here before? I haven't been here long but you'd think I'd notice a giant...err, I mean..you'd think I'd notice YOU by now." Melly had to remember that she knew his name now. Pissing him off by insulting him was the last thing she wanted to do.

Biff pipped a little squeak at Melly's appology, closing his eyes and purring. His tail flicked back in forth, almost happy to accept.
Jaggary watched Melly sort through the man's belongings, and followed a little after. He made sure there was enough distance, just to make sure she didn't panic or think he was trying to find something as well. It was best to just avoid the conflict. He took a quick sweep of the area instead, there was nothing. Only shadows and sand.
He turned back toward Melly and smiled smartly. "Well I suppose Biff is a good teacher, then." He chuckled at her catch. He didn't mind being a spider, it had its advantages certainly. He just had to big of an ego to be put down by it. He always used the fact that 'humans' were disgusting when the occasional 'spider confrontation' took place. "And I don't mind being called a spider." He added. "I'm just a beautiful one."
