Captain Rex stood outside Chancellor Palpatine's office. The order to execute Order 66 was already placed into effect. He looked up and he saw Kaori Skywalker.
"General Houhtem," Rex said, tilting his head in concern. "Are you all right?" He could tell that Kaori had a sad look on her face.

As Kaori walked up to palpatine's office she saw rex.
"Rex my name is not Houtem anymore. Please dont call me that. I was called here by palpatine."

"Sorry, General Skywalker," Rex said as he thought for a moment. "I take it you don't know what is going on." He sighed. He really hated to have to be the one to deliver the news. "I have been assigned to protect you from hell breaking loose," he said. "The chancellor has declared that every single Jedi is now an enemy of the Republic." He paused for a moment. "He just sent out Lord Vader to erracate them."

Her eyes widened hearing the news
"e-every jedi?... who the hell is lord vader?"

Rex looked up. "General Skywalker is now Darth Vader," he said. "Don't ask me who Darth Sidious is because I dont even know. I just receive the orders. I was told to protect you at all costs by Lord Vader."

"Anakin is fine," Rex said. "Or whatever the hell he wants to call himself. As for you it is best if we get you out of here. If Darth Sidious discovers you here my instincts tell me that he will kill you because you are a Jedi. I am under General Skywalker's command and he gave me orders to protect you at all costs."
He paused for a moment. "If you want I can take you to the temple since I have a feeling that you will go there even if I tell you not to."

Rex looked at Kaori.
"Though I don't think that is the best thing to do, but I will take you there myself," he said as he led the way to the speeder. "I'll send 5555's with you and drop you two around back."

"No problem," Rex said as he held open the door of the speeder for Kaori and then he motioned for 5555's to join them. "When we get to the temple 5555's you go with General Kaori around back and protect her with your life. I have to speak to Commander Kane and find out what is going on."
"Yes, sir," Five's said.
Rex drove them to the temple.
