Kastor's small fighter touched down on the red sand of the planet. Feeling the dust under his boots for the first time was a strange feeling, but a welcome one. He had spent the last 5 years running from the republic, skipping from planet to planet making money by provide menial bounty hunting services, usually making sure to disguise his force signature so that his success is too well discovered but he knew that if he wanted to test his darkside abilities he would need to visit the ancient home world of the Sith Empire, where so many powerful Sith Lords had been trained and had journeyed. It was enough to make his blood boil, Kastor could see ruins in the cliff face that appeared to be the remnants of the old academy. Kastor had heard the ancient stories of the Sith Academy on Korriban but that had been before Darth Bane, Kastor had learned of him in his travels and the ancient Sith had fascinated him.
As Kastor approached the crumbling stone doors of the Academy he pressed his gloved hand against them, the cold hard stone was literally vibrating with the power of the Darkside. Closing his eyes and concentrating he stretched out with the Dark side and the door shot backward until it slammed against the far wall. "Welcome home..." he said aloud to himself as he entered the darkness of the ruin, his boots clacking against the stone and kicking up piles of dust from ther long forgotten walkways.

The shadows coiled themselves around Thanata's hidden shape. The Tuk'ata was well hidden, poised like a cat about to pouce on a ledge a few turns away from the stranger. Her muscles rippled beneath the glittering scales as she sensed the strength flow through the buildings and this new being. She hadn't seen something like it in centuries, and the presence was almost unsettling. However, Thanata was curious all the same.
She leapt down from the protection of her ledge and kept to the shadows as she scurried through the hallways. Smelling the air, the Sith Hound could almost taste the foreigner as she stalked closer. Her intentions were good, more curiousity then anything, but she was still cautious. What was his purpose here?
Stretching lazily in the middle of the hallway, Thanata sat down with a small huf. The long tail curled across her paws, making sweeping lines in the dirt. She yawned enormously, red eyes glinting. Hopefully she'd be noticed.

As he traversed the halls he could feel the Darkside energy of the planet itself, It was old and distant but still strong. Thats when he thought he heard something, a faint patter of something falling to the stone behind him. What can this be?! he thought to himself There shouldn't be anything left in these caves.... Spinning on his heels and igniting one of his sabers in a single swift motion and took a defensive stance.
In the glow of his blade he could see the eyes, red and menacing but yet...not anything he recognized. As his eyes adjusted to the darkness he could make out the form, feline but very large and covered in scales...A Tuk'ata! he'd heard stories about them inhabiting the ancient tombs of the Dark lords but he was sure that they must have been extinct. Not sure what to expect he held his ground braced for an attack.

Thanata's eyes narrowed as the blade swiftly flickered to light. Was he nuts? The Tuk'ata yawned, showing off her several rows of sharp teeth. Snapping her jaws shut, she then kept comepletely still. Natural instinct took over as she focused in her breath to remain motionless like a statue. She took in every detail, incredibly curious.
He was cautious, which made him smarter then most two legged creatures. He didn't leap into an attack like some had. While they tasted nice, Thanata could tell that this one cold probably put up a fight. The holocron in her stomach muttered something incomprehensable, then quietened.
The dust was beginning to clog her nose, and the sith hound made quick to be ridded of it. She then proceeded to tilt a head to once side, eyes narrowing as if to challenge the stranger.

Kastor sensed no immediate danger from the creature, but he still had to remain cautios. Lowered his blade till it hung by his side. These creatures are supposed to be force sensitive...I probably wouldnt be able to avoid injury if I got into an unnescessary fight. Thats when Kastor sensed it...A HOLOCRON! he could feel the artifact's energy eminating from the Tuk'ata.
"I don't think you can understand me...so I'm going to try this", Kastor raised his left hand and concentrated. Reaching out with the force he attempted to touch the creature's mind, <I'm not here to hurt you> he thought <You have something I need in your stomach>. Kastor doubted if his skills were attuned enough at his current level to affect the creature's mind but he hoped he could. He deactivated his lightsaber and knelt down with his arm extended as if summoning a dog, waiting to see if the Tuk'ata would approach.

Thanata couldn't help but feel satisfied as the creature lower it's blade. Yes she was strong and powerful, she knew that. It was still relieving to know that the planet wasn't coming to be inhabited by idiots.
That's when it hit her, the force snaked it's way through her head and into her mind as she felt it's presence surround the two legged creature before her. It was faint, but present.
Her teeth barred, she growled the sound emitting between the sharp rows of teeth and her throat. Her tail flicked across the floor, sweeping back and forth, then resting across her paws. The muscles across her shoulders rippled as she threatened to jump. Something was soothing about the words, but the holocron in her gut curled uncomfortably. It was difficult to understand the language, most Sith she had studied spoke the Sith language, and Basic was difficult to comprehend, but she had enough to get the general idea and occasional word.
"Manosi." She hissed outloud, her voice thick and heavy. "Mine."
Who did he think she was? A pet! She stretched her nose out toward the hand, almost curious and tempting, then pulled back. She snorted angrily as she felt drawn to approach, but the back of her brain screamed to stay put. Until she was confident he wasn't a threat, she'd stay put.

Clearly this wasnt working, Kastor rose and turned away from the creature. "Fine...have it your way, just dont bother me while I look for others then". He continued down the hallway, hopefully this was the only Tuk'ata remaining in this place...he wasnt sure if he'd be able to survive a fight with a horde. As he made it further down the hall he ignited his saber and used it as a light in the darkness. Coming to the end he realized the walls on either side had opened up and he was now standing in a much larger chamber. "There has got to be something of value left here...the Jedi cant really have taken everything could they?" he spoke aloud to himself.
Using the force to overturn piles of rubble and junk he finally found an old manuscript. It was a thin leather bound book with pieces of parchment covered in black letters he didnt recognize. "This must be the ancient Sith language...where am I going to find someone to translate this?". Stuffing the book into his pocket he decided to leave the Academy, "Maybe the Valley of the Dark Lords will be more profitable for me". He turned around and walked back the way he came towards the exit.

Thanata watched him stand, slightly alarmed that he'd jump her. She was on her feet in an instant, but was surprised when she saw him leave. She lowered her bristling spikes and liked her jaws lazily. Others? By this he meant he was searching for the ancient artifacts she found amusing to study? Surely he wasn't foolish enough to go looking around for them. Many occasions creatures have gone mad with the knowledge the ancient ones have given... providing they gave it. Most times it was the feel of the power itself that dorve them nuts.
She lashed her tail back and forth angrily. "Zioplys, Th'minti vyras Th'zenoti viskas." She hissed, her words thick and slow with the difficulty of producing speech. She hadn't spoken in a long time, and it was odd to hear her own voice.
She spun around and jogged out of the ancient ruins. Grumbling, she followed the trail she normally took. It was common for her to do rounds, going from one ruin to the other to inspect for intruders. She'd be back to find this one later, but for now, she had tombs to check and wall scirpts to read over.
((OOC: "Zioplys, Th'minti vyras Th'zenoti viskas." Sith for "Fool, thinks he knows everything." ))
