Space, the peaceful and quite vacuum. For once the republic cruiser gets a chance to just float, awaiting a call. For now, things are peaceful, but with the seperatists, one can never be too sure when disaster is to strike. Bev Hettir was really enjoying his meal. Normally one would complain about the food onboard the cruiser, but after all his years of training troops, he had eaten worse. His golden armor gleamed, for he had cleaned it recently. It didn't shine like a gloss, but it made hte scratches stand out. Tracing a finger over the lines across the front of his helmet, the mando smirked. Good times. Adjusting the bucket so it faced him properly, Bev reached onto his plate and ate the first thing he layed fingers on. The meal hall was relatively quiet. Troopers came and went as they pleased, normally coming and leaving in small groups. A small group sat a few tables away, and Bev tried to listen into their conversation, find out what's flowing through the life of his boys at the moment. Cheerily, he blindly continued to eat food from his plate, turning his attention to his helmet then to the meal line.

Walking along the halls of the Cruiser, I enter the Mess Hall. As I entered a Clone closest to me yelled out 'General on deck!', I saluted them back then told to to stand easy. Getting in line I then collect my meal and sit opposite Bev Hettir.
"How goes the Clones Bev? Are they doing well?"
I spoke as I prepared my utensils for eating, taking off my hood, my large facial scar is revealed. The scar was a sounvenir from Tarlock, but that was the past.
Looking up meet his gaze, and wait for him to reply. Bev is a loyal teacher for the Republic, and is highly spoken of by the Jedi Council and my master Yoda.

Bev was clearly in his own little world. 'General on deck!' His eyes instantly flicked up to the meal hall doors. He watched the figure enter, a small smile curving up his lips. Jango had enjoyed meeting jedi, it was almost like a test. Mando and Jedi have had so many conflicts in the past, but regardless Bev had come to actually enjoy their company. They were clever, smart, and in a small way like him....
The mando flashed a smile as the jedi sat across from him. "General Vang..." He tapped the side of his brow twice with two fingers, in a fun little salute. "Brilliant, actually, I feel as if the men are in decent spirits. It's been quiet recently, and I think they're taking their break rather... dull...ly." He shrugged as his face fell a little. These men had seen nothing but action, what else were they supposed to do while they waited?
"And how are you?"

A slight chuckle comes to me as Bev spoke, he always had a good sense of humour. But I had to agree, they were waiting for a call but it seemed like their time off wasa bit dull. However my presense here in the last day has raised spirits and morale greatly. Bev then directs a question to me, I think for a second before replying.
"I have been well, my vision in my left eye is returning, and my Clone regiment has received some more Clones to add to my losses. And my training with Yoda has continued to show fruit"
I still remember the night Tarlock attacked the Jedi Temple, I remember defeating him, but most of all I remember him slashing my left side of my face. But even with the injury, I was still able to overcome him.
I look back to Bev and smile.
"And how are you coping? Surely you aren't as bored as these battle-born soldiers?"

Bev studied the Jedi's face. Scars displayed a lot of one's past and even create a reputation. However, Bev had many scars, and he found that not all of them represented him well. The general seemed like a respectable fellow, but one could never judge one by apperance and assumptions... There wasn't much known about General Vang, on Bev's own personal account, but he had heard about him through the troops.
"It is always nice to hear of one's recoveries. Glad to hear training and healing are paying off!"
Bev swallowed before continuing, his face curling into a playful smirk and a winky eye. "Oh General.... Us bounty hunters are never bored. I always find something to do, here or there, although I think the boys appreciate it when I bring back sweets for training exercises..." He chuckled as he sat back a bit more.
"You should come by sometime, I bet you my training exercises are a bit...different then the one's you're used to. You may enjoy it. They're.... fun!" He added a little laugh, a bit darker then expected.

"Sounds interesting... What makes these exercises more... fun?"
I was curious, Bev was a Bounty Hunter, but he also enjoyed helping the Republic when they needed him. And it was always good to know the trainers of the Clone Troopers. Bev teaught my ARC's before they were given that title, it was his training that made them exemplary soldiers.
"Also, how is your stay? I hope the living quarters are nicer than the last cruiser you stayed on"
This Cruiser in particular belonged to my Clone forces. This Cruiser, was named 'The Silence', due to it's engines being so quiet and the halls were nothing but whispers.
But recently, it was filled with loud speech, and cheering as teams completed training.

Bev sat back and smirked a little. "My training doesn't always involve brute strength. Intellegence makes a man strong in battle almost as much as his skill in combat. My training involves on the spot thinking, and teamwork. I find it important to learn values as well as technique. If they can work together, find a solution, implement the solution, and build bonds with trust and courage then... I have succeeded."
Bev was mandolorian, as was his brother Jango, and so were the clones. It was important for them to be brought up as champions and warriors, but equally important to be brought up as human beings. The mandolorians had a very strong bond between family, especially the father-son bond.
"They like a challenge, and believe it or not, they're still 'ade'. I don't know if you're familiar with 'uj'alayi'... it's also known as 'uj cake'. Regardless, it is a cake made with fruit, spice, nuts and syrup. It's very thick, and very sweet. I find that if I sometimes incorporate rewards into my training, the boys tend to find it less of a hasstle. However, it always tends to be a hasstle...or a goal... to get the cake in the first place."
Bev smiled cheerily, remembering quite a few good times, as he chewed on some foreign meat substance. He nodded at the mention of the cruiser, and swallowed. "Yes indeed. Lovely place you have here actually, much better then Kamino I find. I have no clue how Jango managed to stay there so long. I don't mind it, but it's nice to get a different atmosphere. Space is always something interesting to look at."
((OOC: Bev tends to throw in his 'native tongue' all the time, so I put the translations down here. ade- Pronounced: AH-day (child/son) uj'alayi - Pronounced: oo-jah-LIE-ee (Uj cake) ))

A reward does tend to make things more interesting. And I wouldn't deny that the tactic works, my Arc Trooper Squad (ATS) was trained by Bev and they are some of the Republic's finest soldiers. I nodded as he continued to speak, explaining his reasons for it. Then he went on about how he liked my Cruiser, and that it's better to be in space.
"Thank you. I hope your stay is comfortable. And when is the next 'session'? I would like to see how the Clones deal with such training"
I continued to eat my food and have sips from my blue milk. I looked back u when Bev replied to my question.

Finished as much as he cold stomach, Bev pushed the tray forward a bit so he could rest his arms on the table. The golden armor made a soft clunk as it hit the table top as the mandolorian bounty hunter leaned forward. "I agree. I certainly hope my stay is enjoyable." He smirked, eyes narrowed slightly. It was fairly evident that he was just playing around, but regardless, Bev's reputation was well known as a bounty hunter.
He watched the jedi eat a bit before replying. "Hmmmmmm-it depends." He shrugged, sitting back. "I was planning on having a session later on today. A lot of these soldiers have graduated, but I'm sure some of them wouldn't mind stopping in for a bit of... extracurricular training." He grinned.
"Are you busy later on today? Or shall I send a messenger to fetch you before we start?"

"I have a few things to do, but I will be free in three hours. Get some men ready. And I shall meet you at the training room"
Standing up, I too push my tray just in front of me. I then politely bow to Bev then leave. Walking out the Mess Hall, I turn left and head to my living quarters, passing squads of Clones, they stop and salute me as I pass them. After a minute or two I reach my room, opening my door I enter and close it shut then lock it. I then sit in the middle of the small room and cross my legs ready to meditate.
My eyes closed and my heart rate slowed considerably. Feeling my body relax, I stretch out with the force and let my mind flow. In a few minutes, I saw images, flashes of the training exercise, I saw the Clones doing well, I saw them making decisions, and even communicating. From what I saw, they were succeeding, and they were making the right decisions. Then I saw a large obstacle in their way, and no matter what they did, they couldn't pass it. Then one Clone out of the blue raised his blaster and fired and fired then threw a detonator in the holr he made blowing it up. The troopers then made their way to the end and cheered, lifting up their brave brother.
Opening my eyes I stood, I could sense about an hour had passed, I exited my room and wondered through the halls, I would surely bump into Bev's messenger when he needed me to come.

Bev returned the bow with a polite nod of his head. The door hissed closed behind the jedi as they closed. Fiddling with the food on his plate, Bev shoved it away unimpressed. Stretching his arms high above his head, he yawned. "Time to go." Standing, he walked down the tables, giving small taps to troops as he passed. "Bonus training in an hour for the last can of uj cake."
Saying no more, he left.
~*-=-*~
An hour later, Bev stood in all his glory. Jet pack mounted and fully fueled, pistols, gloves and armour. His helmet gleamed from under his arm as he stood in the centre of the training room. It was blank, just a large flat surface. In front of him stood a line of troopers, ranging from rank to profession and skill set. He had them at ease, and they chatted amoung eachother.
Clearing his throat, he nodded to one and waved him over. "Send work to General Vang that we are ready to begin if he so wishes to attend." Bev watched the soldier dissapear through the doors, as a smile curved up his face in anticipation. This would be great fun!
