What if Darth Maul kiilled Obi Wan and Qui Gon defeated Maul?
How would the timeline be effected in the future?

Qui-gon would have lost two students then, and been gravely scarred, probably leaving the order and becoming part of the Lost 20 like his master, Dooku, and lived his days in exile... Leaving Anakin's training to whatever master the Council would choose his fate, and the Council had to be convince by Qui-gon and Obi-wan to at first even let him in. This would probably lead to Anakin never really advancing, or becoming Vader. Thus, the CIS would have been winning more and more battles, unbalancing the war even if Sidous didn't want it to. Thus, it could have in fact lead to the entire fall of the Republic, and Dooku betraying Sidous, he himself becoming the emperor of the galaxy through an unlimited force of droid armies and the greatest industries within the once-Republic.
Dooku would have then took over contruction of the Death Star, and due to his strong stragetic mindset, would patch the design flaws with the help of the many CIS industries, so if the Battle of Yavin happened, Luke may not have even been born and the Rebellion would have been squashed completely. With no one to oppose Dooku, he might have gone as far to have Grievous hunt down the Jedi in his own Great Jedi Purge, and the Dooku would create the order in his own image. Once things like the Yuuzhan Vong and Kilik appeared, his droid armies would have vastly overwhelmed their numbers, being that if Grievous himself didn't take over his master's place.
It could have been one of the most drastic changes to the series to ever have taken place.
