The year is 1994, and the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers have defeated Rita Repulsa once and for all, ending her bid to conquer the Earth. The victory came at the cost of their powers, however, as Rita's final assault took everything they had, the zords included. Thus Zordon allowed the six original Rangers to retire, sadly bidding his team farewell. Unbeknownst to them all, a new evil was planning to appear.
Now, four years later, that new evil has surfaced by the name of Lord Zedd. Having added the remnants of Rita's army to his own, he has taken over her old base and rebuilt it, housing his personal zord Serpentera as well. While Zedd marshalled his forces, Zordon detected his presence and issued a call to his former team. Only two returned, Tommy Oliver and Billy Cranston. Zordon then added four new Rangers: Rocky Dos Santos, Adam Park, Katherine Hillard, and Aisha Campbell. The new four and Billy were the first to receive their powers, becoming the new Power Rangers Thunder: Rocky being the Red Dragon Thunder Ranger, Adam being the Green Lion Thunder Ranger, Billy becoming the Blue Unicorn Thunder Ranger, Aisha becoming the Yellow Griffin Thunder Ranger, and Katherine becoming the Pink Firebird Thunder Ranger. Tommy received no new powers, though his Dragonzord powers were still useable due to a mistake by Goldar in the final battle with Rita.
The two sides are preparing for the expected battles to come, with Zedd preparing to send out his first minion to attack the earth. Are the Rangers ready to face this new threat? Will Tommy's weaker powers be strong enough to help? Find out in Power Rangers Thunder!
