Raylon also has the strength to ignore common prejudices practiced by common folks, and he always treats everyone as equals, including the Mandalorians. When he adopted Kayla into his family, Raylon provided her with enough love to make her feel like she was truly a member of the family.
Raylon's parenting philosophy dictates that his children had the right to make their own decisions, so he never forces his hopes or belief upon them. Holt's ability to see the world with his own eyes without allowing common prejudices to sway him is no doubt something he learned from his father.

Born on a ranch in the small village of Yarahluz, Raylon spent most of his childhood caring for the animals on the ranch, his favorite animal being the sheep. During his time at the Alderaanian Military Academy, Raylon was at the top of his class for special operation training and tactics, as well as vehicle operation training and tactics. His seemingly natural knack for tactics was a result of his childhood hobby of chess.
One day, Raylon met a woman named Chryssi, through a rather dramatic encounter, and it wasn't long before he realized that this woman was the love of his life. The two were soon married, and their peaceful life together was blessed with a son, whom they named Holt.
When the conflict of Alderaan Ascendancy Contention reached past Aldera's borders, the chaos consumed many innocent lives, including that of Raylon's beloved wife. Raylon was not even granted time to grieve, as he had to immediately depart to do his part in the war as a military officer, leaving Holt in the care of Talia Bercut, his wife's sister. Raylon used the skills he had learned in the military academy well, claiming many victories for the Royal Alderaanian forces.
He was one of the first men in Aldera to fully understand the concept of the "multi-repulsar lift tank", a war vehicle that had slowly been increasing in popularity among the Republic and other systems. He used this knowledge and his courage when facing the enemy, and from the resulting battles, none would have guessed that Aldera was severely outmatched by the forces of the enemy Houses. Along with his soldiers, he helped send the terrorists and rival kingdoms packing. For being a key figure in defending Alderaan's independence, Raylon was awarded with the title "Hero of Alderaan."
Though he succeeding in saving the lives of countless Alderaanians, Raylon's heart and mind were deeply troubled by the fact he had not been able to protect the woman he cared for the most.
After the war, Raylon was ordered by his superiors to aid in the development of tanks for Alderaan, which was to be a joint effort between the military and a government-owned weapons manufacturing company. It was during this project that Raylon met Jahun Hart, the Mandalorian who would eventually become his best friend. Ever since he had lost his wife, Raylon had been trying to cope with his grief by becoming increasingly hard on himself, but his encounter with Jahun changed the way he viewed his life forever. Being a Mandalorian Alderaanian, Jahun has suffered unjust persecution for his entire life, yet he had never forgotten how to be kind to others, nor has he lost his pride as an engineer. The more he got to know Jahun, the more Raylon came to respect this man.
With Raylon's experience and Jahun's knowledge leading the way, Chrysalis was created with a brand new multi-core replusar lift engine. At the time Chrysalis boasted higher firepower, defenses and mobility than any other tank in the universe. Unfortunately, they were not granted permission to produce more tanks due to the debilitation costs associated with manufacturing such weapons of war. Since the war was already over, Chrysalis never got a chance to see real battle, and was instead stored in the LaFleure Household's bunker.
Raylon has slowly been recovering from his emotional pain thanks to his new best friend, and husband, Jahun. They had gotten married in Aldera, despite protests of a Alderaanian/Mandalorian wedding. But a tragic accident with the Trade Federation suddenly claimed the lives of both Jahun and his sister. The shock of losing his close friend after they had both survived a war almost sent Raylon into a dark spiral again. Kayla was the one who kept Raylon from the brink, as he knew the young girl would need to be cared for. Taking Jahun's daughter as his own, Raylon chose to retire from the military so that he could lead a quiet life in Yarahluz with the children.
Soon throwing himself back into service during the Clone Wars to fend off attacking Separatists from destroying his cities, he rounded up the Alderaanin Royal Military and with the help of the Republic, successfully cut their forces in half and forced them off-world. He was then labelled as a General of the ARM forces, and Head of Alderaanian Security. By the time of the New Order of the Galactic Empire, he had been meeting with Bail Organa to secretly form the Rebel Alliance with the many different senators, leaders, and planetary officials.
Raylon was called back to the battle once more after that, for a minor skirmish with Republic forces at the border, the New Order of the Galactic Empire had been formed. Alderaan was under attack. The Empire had slowly been taking Alderaan city by city. Once Aldera was targeted, The Empire lost 3/4s of it's invasion force to Raylon's command, with the assistance of the Chrysalis. After they broke the lines, Bail Organa order him and the remnants of his forces to flee to Corellia. After escaping, the Corellia government handed him a fleet of Corellian ships, and he headed for General Dodonna's forces. The Rebellion had begun.
