Byter watched with a grim face. 50,000 was a lot of credits and he knew that Melly wouldn't give up her lightsaber. He fidgeted his foot and looked at the Twi'lek with caution. There seemed to be nothing to do, but keep up this charade of control as long as he could. "I see. But you see, I can't cut the cord just yet. It's the only thing keeping you from shooting my partner in the face. I know she sure as heck doesn't have that much credits and I don't have any credits whatsoever. SHe probably wouldn't ive you her lightsaber and I am not letting you kill her. So, we are at a standpoint. Who kills who?"
He smirked. "That is, until we can form a new bargain."
His eyes traveled to the guy's jetpack and let out a little smirk. "By the way, I think you've been cheated. That pack isn't a JT-12, it's a JT-6. That doesn't mean it's hooked up to a bomb or your vitals, but you still get your missiles. Guess what? We seem to be on equal ground now."

Chir'lales already knew he could wipe the smile off of his face. “Heh shows how much you know about jetpacks. I would say it is a common mistake but I would be lying. This is a JT-12 bought it off an old friend who....retired. I made a few upgrades to it including a failsafe deadman trigger.” It had been a few months since he had to use the threat of the jetpack’s fail safe. It had saved his life a few years back when a Rodian had got a lucky shot off on him that nearly killed him. The jetpack sent a rocket flying right into the Rodian ripping him to pieces. The Twi’lek would of died that day if someone hadn’t saved him that night. He wasn’t sure who it was that saved him but the medic just told him it was another Twi’lek., the medic assumed it was his wife.
“Now then I do believe I have made myself clear. The credits, the lightsaber or I finish my hunt.” He looked over at the human with a deep frown. It felt like he was stalling and he didn’t like letting humans have time to think. It usually didn’t turn out well. “You have one minute, what is this bargain. If I don’t like it we are done talking.”

Byter's grip around his whip tightened. This was bad, this was really bad. He gave a large sigh out of exasperation. "This had to happen now? Before the big job?"
It was as if he was talking to a god or other celestial being. He literally looked up at the sky, which was actually the roof, but who's counting? To all cases, he had seemed like he had finally lost it. Then, he pulled the trigger of his blaster.
In most cases, it was unnoticed. As it was here, only the very perceptible could notice it. The bullet was not a beam of ionized light, but a small dart filled with a fast acting elixir capable of bringing down the largest of creatures. But, it did nothing but give the victim a good night's sleep. And a very large headache to those who may be pregnant, have a cold, or just all around unlucky.
(However you want to play it, but Melly or Byter can't die yet. We already have another thread with them both in it....)

She looked at Byter and blinked at his sudden reaction and comment. It was all about money it seemed. Money was more important than a life. Damn Bounty Hunters, Damn Smugglers. Damn everything. She wasn't completely innocent, but would never take it this far. That was just her though. The galaxy was ruthless and there was nothing she or anyone could do about it. Except get over it.
But, it was one thing she loved. How unpredictable it could be.
Melly had had enough of this. Using her free hand, she force pulled the lightsaber towards her just as Byter pulled his trigger. She assumed it was a normal bolt, like any other blaster. Probably wouldn't kill him. Although, the bounty hunter couldn't watch two things at once.
As much as she despised the force, it would be the second time within hours that it would save her life. The weapon flew into her hand and she wasted no time in activating the blue humming blade. With one quick swing, she could cut the males leg right off. If he wanted to keep that leg he'd be wise to move. It was his choice. He could only pay attention to one or the other. The 'saber or the dart.

During all of this Scorch dislocated his arm, took his helmet off, added a black eye to his face, and a fresh scar going down above his right eye and ending it below his left. His shoulder popped quietly out of his socket. It was painfull, granted, but it was neccessary. Scorch finally ran out of hiding, holding the detonator, his left arm hung limply off his shoulder. "ALL RIGHT! NO ONE MOVE! I'm tired of being your slave.... I'm going to blow this ship to smitheren's and all of you with me!" Scorch did his best to look as crazy eyed as possible, and scared. He only hoped that his buddies wouldn't take him seriously....

Chir'lales temper was starting to rise. He had given the pair one last chance to make up for her mistakes and yet they seemed unwilling to listen to his reason. The moment the sigh released from Byter mouth he expected trouble or for him to give in. However the blaster never stopped pointing at the Twi’lek giving him reason to believe it was the former. He was to much in the open and two against one was not in his favor. To add to it a third person seemed to have showed up to the party but he gave him little though. The idiot was planning to blow up the ship, at least Melody would not escape the hunt. He would let the other two deal with the fool. He activated his jetpack in a small burst and launched himself backwards. It would seem just in time too as he heard a lightsaber activate as he went hurling backwards. Byter would have two choices then. He could cut the rope or come on a little ride with Chir’lales. It mattered not as the Twi’lek let out a second burst from his jetpack as to not crash into the on coming wall at over 140 kilometers per hour. At the other end of the ship he hid behind a handy create and took a few pot shots anything that moved. He cursed at his bad luck. Sonic blasters were not very handy from far away but if he switched to any other type the lightsaber would have an advantage. He had to think of something and quick. It was only then he noticed he felt a little drowsy but he fought it. It seemed that the dart had got caught up in his clothing and barely stuck into him giving him a small amount of the tranquilizer. He would not fall asleep under enemy fire, after all he only had a few more minutes to complete his hunt or he would have to honor his words to the girl.
(never had plans to kill them lol melly wanted a hunter after her so she asked me :> )

"Great... A jetpack... Wonderful." Scorch said to himself normally, then kicked his Clone Trooper helmet at the bounty Hunter. He then dropped the detonator that was, in a sense, completely useless, unless used for bluffing.
<Well, if you don't mind a random clone attempting to stall, then yeah.... If not you can knock him out >:3>

Like it was said, Byter went for a little ride, but he was used to it. After all, he did it all the time. But the problem was, he usually wasn't in such cramped spaces. He slammed into the wall at the first turn, his body slowly crumpling t the floor as his grappling whip released and returned. That was going to hurt in the morning. He slowly got up, cricked his neck, then looked down the hall, seeing the red flap of skin that the Twi'lek had on his head barely showing behind a pile of crates.
THe smuggler rolled to a better position, his blaster already in his hand. His other one was dropped on the little ride he took. Crap. He reached into his belt and grabbed a couple of small explosives, knowing they would most likely confuse the hunter so he could get a good hit in. That is, if nothing went wrong first.

As soon as she was no longer pinned, Melly pushed herself to her knees but was forced to duck again when the two went for a joy ride. She winced as Byter was thrown against the wall. That had to hurt, especially at that speed.
Suddenly, the ship took a hard turn to the left, then to the right. Nobody was controlling it-so it had flown off course and was now caught in the atmosphere of Tatooine. It shuddered hard, sending objects flying through the air. Crates slid against the wall and piled on top of one another. An emergency alarm blared as the room began to flash. They were in for a rough landing.
Seconds went by, and soon turned into minutes. The freighter, with the combined weight of two ships, had gone into a nose dive. The engines burst into flames, but continued to propel the ship forward. It slammed -hard- into the desert sand, sending dunes toppling over. The ships metal walls 'moaned' as the whole thing powered down. If they were lucky enough to survive, everyone would have been face planted against a wall.
"Time's up!" Melly shot up out of the rubble. "I'm off the hook! You lose!" She shouted at the Bounty Hunter, unsure of where his location actually was. She climbed over the splintered crate, tripping a few times in the process. Leave it to her to gloat in a crash landing. Nobody had actually won, it was a tie. At least they had landed where they were supposed to...right?

"Well....THAT was a bumpy ride...." Scorch muttered, getting up out of a large piece of ship metal's, and sand dune's. After re-aligning his shoulder with a loud 'pop!' which caused him to wince a bit, Scorch looked around and took inventory. "Well... I have.... A piece of metal, my armor, and.... A knife stuck in my armor.... Lovely...." Scorch gripped the knife, and pulled it out of his shoulder plate. He got extremely lucky on this fact.... If it went another inch higher, it would have hit his neck.... "Melika! Bytika! Where are you two?" Scorch shouted loudly. He waited for a response, but the response he was given was not one he expected.... A loud screeching sound. Scorch turned and looked over to a close rock head, and saw a group of figure's holding stick's and screaming loudly. "Greeeeeat....Local's.....And they look SO nice...." Scorch said sarcastically. Then he realized he was alone... No squad mate's to back him up, and no outlaw's to converse with as he made a plan to fight or flight.... He was, in a sense, truly alone. He didn't have his helmet to help find friendly life sign's, or pick up on audio from farther away. He was, in a sense, totally useless right now. He couldn't do anything, besides guerrilla tactic's....

Chir'lales breathed heavily as the sedative tried to take its toll on him. He refused to let it win and continued to fire from cover. He didnt have much time left and it would be the first hunt that the prey managed to stay alive. It was obvious that the sonic weapons were not going to work on her. The ship started to shake around as it seemed to be making it way into the planet. He ignored the warning alarm, he had a hunt to take care of.
Byter was close to him and he could probably take him out with a grenade or blast but time was running too short and he could not waste his time on taking him out. He wasn’t sure what to make of Scorch but he didnt seem to be much of a treat for the moment.
Time was running out and he had to make a desperate move. He pulled out his DLT-20A blaster rifle and set up for a shot. He took his time setting up the shot and was prepare to leave a hole in the female human’s head and be done with this hunt. He let in a deep breath and pulled the trigger....just as the ship crashed into the ground. This caused the blast to go whizzing by melly’s ear. The crash the only thing that had saved her life and cost Chir’lales the hunt. He had been thrown against the wall behind him and the create went smashing close to him. He slowly got to his feet and put away his blasters and stood up slowly. “Seems I did under estimate you human...well done.”

Byter was really surprised. He watched as the bounty hunter put away his weapons and stood up peacefully. He shrugged and got up as well. Then, another shudder shook the ship, throwing the smuggler to the floor. The small explosives in his hands activated and flew out of his hand.
He registered the fact and watched as they seemed to fall in slow motion. He winced and barely had enough time to curse. "Oh f-"
Then, an explosion blew a hole in the outer hull. The depressurization dragged his flailing body out with it. He was still alive, but he was now lost.

As the ship shuddered, Melly tripped over one last crate and landed hard on the floor just before the explosion. She covered her head and waited for the clear...hopefully nobody was dead.
She pushed herself to her feet and brushed herself off. Melly glanced towards the bounty hunter, but noticed that the other two were gone. They must have been ejected from the ship, considering there was a big hole in the side of it. Without answering the hunter she made her way over to the hole and poked her head out. Scanning the area with her eyes, she didn't spot anything right away but a bunch of sand. "Answer me if you're not dead!" Melly shouted, awaiting a response.
She turned back and slipped from her dark brown robe revealing only basic clothing. It was lighter, and cooler. Couldn't stray too far from the ships...they were the only lifelines they had at the moment, being in the middle of the desert and all. Both suns were high in the sky, a lost man was a dead one.

As the local's ran down the sandy dune's and rock's, all Scorch could think about was this.... Where did I leave my helmet? When the first local attempted to strike with a War Club, Scorch side stepped, and jammed Byter's knife into it's sandy clothed neck. "One down....Plenty more to go...." Scorch muttered, a local, perhap's there called Sand People?, aimed an old type of blaster rifle at him with a scope. "SNIPER!!!!" Scorch howled, still forgetting he was alone here, no allies to help him fight the on coming horde of Sand People.

‘Well if only that had happened earlier he could have gotten her.’ Was what ran through his mind as both Scorch and Byter were lost to the planet. He gathered his rifle and stored it away for later if need be. He started to go through the ship looking for anything of use. There were a few canteens but they were all emptied. He figured they planned to get the water on the planet but it was inconvenient now. “Who the hell was flying this ship.” He said annoyed. He wasn’t talking to Melly and didn’t care if she answered or not. She seemed to be busy looking to see who survived the crash.
While she was outside of the ship curiosity had finally gripped him. He had brought the datapad he gotten off the stolen bounty and took it out. Least he gotten something out of that bounty. The only problem is he wasn’t sure if this was worth anything or not. Activating it he cursed silently to himself as he soon found out that the blasted thing was password protected. He wasn’t much of a hacker and had always meant to buy a little droid to help him out with that kind of activities. Ironically he was planning to buy one off the money he had gotten off the datapad itself.
Giving up he put the datapad away and decided to get a look for himself. He wasn’t sure what planet they had landed on till he stepped outside. Two sun and a lot of sand. If he had to put his money on it they were likely on Tatooine. He followed Melly back into the ship and put his hand on the sonic blaster if she got any ideas. “So what is the plan now human. Go out there and find your partners?”
