It was a year after the Batlle of Endor, and five years after Yavin, but somehow, I, Jedi Master Ragnan Vang survived. My beard was well trimmed, and my shoulder length hair was straight and swayed in the wind.
My hands lightly touched my lightsabers as my roober fluttered as I stood tall on the rock tops of Dantooine. The plains were filled with animals both carnivore and herbivore, and even the odd omnivore. A smile reached my face.
"This is a place of peace indeed"
I spoke to myself as the wind picked up and blew my hair into my face. The few strands of hair did not bother me, as I was watching a group of young children playing. They stopped as they saw me and pointed calling me 'The Ghost Guardian' and 'Spirit of the Exile' and even 'Spirit of Kavar'. I smiled and continued to stand. Life was good.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw someone, someone I thought was dead. An old friend of mine from the Clone Wars.

((OOC- If it's years after the second Death Star's destruction than Yulan is dead, so i'll be RPing as Desteana. Will still label though))
Desteana I walked up to the familiar figure of Vang, holding my child. Today was the anniversary of my husband's death, and it still felt like he would come back. "Long time no see, master Vang. How has it been?" Following behind me was the last survivor if my battalion, Dradis. He was all dressed out in his Mando armor, dedicated to Yulan.

Turning to face my old friend I smile, it had been years since I last saw her, and with her was her child. Desteana's husband had died some years ago today, and behind her was Dradis, the last of her mighty battalion.
"I have been well my old friend. Life here is peaceful, it's nice to no longer live in fear of the Empire. How have you been dear Desteana?"
A gust of wind blew past us as we stood, which made my black hooded robe flutter violently. Taking up my hood, I stop my hair from flying into my face. And hid the scar I got from Tarlock a long time ago on Coruscant. The scar went from my hair line to my chin on the left side of my face, it wasn't caused by a lightsaber, but was caused by a knife that had a serrated blade.
Desteana had aged well, she and I both were two of the small handful of Jedi who escaped the Jedi Purge at the Temple. And she and I had spent a few years together after that. But we parted ways and haven't seen eachother since, until now.
It was great to know she was alive, and her child was beautiful, looked like the father. I missed Yulan, he was a good man, and a loyal friend.

Desteana I smiled, with a tear in my eye. "I'm glad the Empire is gone, but if i had been there on the battle for Endor, i believe my little girl could finally see her father. I know he fell protecting the Rebels, but the fact the Empire took him before he saw our child, just makes me wish that things had gone differently." My daughter stirred before opening her eyes. She sat up and held onto my neck before turning to Vang. Her white hair was already down to her shoulders and she could almost speak in full sentences. She smiled politely before speaking to the old friend "Did you know my daddy master Jedi?"

"You suffered much Desteana. More than anyone should have to. Even I still mourn for Yulan. He was a good man"
My eyes turned to Yulan's daughter, she was beautiful, and her white hair mimicked her father's. Her voice was soft and slightly high pitched like a young girl should sound like. Leaning forward slightly my smile becomes bigger, I laughed slightly as the memories I had with Yulan flood my mind.
"I knew your daddy incredibly well. He and I were good friends, and ought beside each other in the Clone Wars, and after the Jedi Purge. You look so much like him, except you have your mother's eyes"
Standing back up to my full height, I continue to smile, I nod to Dradis who patiently stood behind Desteana. It had been a long time since I saw him, was because of him Desteana, Yulan and myself were able to survive the Purge.
"Dradis, it has been a long time my friend. I thank you for looking after Desteana, and doing your best for Yulan. I greatly appreciate everything you have done. Now, let us go to my home, it is just a little while away. We can take my speeder, it can hold all of us in it"
I then motion for them to follow me to my speeder that was only about thirty metres away from us. The red and black speeder sat there waiting for my arrival. Jumping in, I wait for everyone to enter and buckle in before starting the engines and speeding off.
After a few minutes, we arrived at a durasteel manor. It had turrets, and patrol droids guarding it from dangerous predators. Parking it in the speeder bay, I exit and help desteana out.
"Welcome ladies and gentlemen to Vang Manor, built and designed by my grandfather. Make yourselves at home, and pick a room to stay and you are welcome to explore. Dinner is in three hours. I look forward to seeing you then"
Walking them into the hallway, I walk left toward my room, and went up the spiral staircase and down another hall and into my room.

Desteana I followed Vang while holding my child's hand. We came up to his speeder and got in. We drove for a short time before coming up on what looked to be a fortress. Vang helped me out of the speeder. He told us to pick a room before leaving. I walked down the hall to a bedroom with interesting art on the wall.
My daughter walked to the computer and turned it on. She was excellent with technology for her age, and before i knew it she was already on her favorite site and reading. She loved Yulan, even if she hadn't met him, and read about him from old Republic and Imperial service records. From time to time she'd even find his bounty list from before the battle of Yavin.
I walked to the bathroom and looked in the mirror. I wiped my face with the fresh rags, still uneasy with how long it'd been since Endor. Every day i could sense Yulan's presence, but i often shrugged it off. But today it was the strongest it had been. If he did live though wouldn't have he come back? The likelihood of that was impossible, so i wiped my face, and laid down on the bed.

A few hours went by and I walked the halls thinking of the last time I had some company. The last person I had in here was a woman I met during my time in the Rebellion, however she was killed during the battle of Endor. She was buried at the back, and I exited the building and stood at her grave mark which said; TARRETTA VANG STRONG WOMAN LOVING WIFE LOVED BY ALL I heard footsteps behind me, I didn't even look I knew it was Desteana, and I knew she was alone. Dradis had her daughter back at the Manor. "I never even got the chance to say goodbye. I never got the chance to say that I loved her one last time. We have the same pain Desteana. The same loss"Turning, a single tear rolled down my cheek and follwed my scar then dripped off my chin and onto the green grass below. A smile came to my face as I saw her. Age has been very kind to her, I on the other hand have felt its sting.

Desteana I walked out back to find Vang over his wife's grave. He turned to me, tear rolling down his face. "I know Vang, and i'm sorry for your loss." I stood beside him over her grave for a few minutes before heading inside.
I never knew about Tarretta or what happened to her, but i already felt sad that i she was gone. It was odd really, that no matter who it was, everyone from the old days that we knew were dying, and almost all the clones are dead. Even Dradis was looking old; older than me due to the aging process.
The galaxy was changing, and in a way i felt like it would be a big change to all from the old Republic.

I walked back inside with my fellow Jedi, has we entered we were greeted by Dradis and Desteana's daughter with a smile on her face. Walking along the red stone hallway, I spoke about the artefacts from the Old Republic that were inside glass cabinets, we passed by spears, lightsaber hilts, robes, scrolls, and many others. These were all heritage of my family, then we stopped at the entrance to the dining hall.
The doors slid open to reveal a beautil room that had a small waterfall on one side that had a pond under it. The long red table in the centre seemed to stand out though. Letting my guests to sit first, I sat down. A few droids came out with delicious food, and they laid the food in a line along the middle of the table.
"Well let us eat and share our stories. Dradis, what have you been doing with yourself as of late?"

Dradis I walked into the dinning hall and sat. It took me a moment to remove my helmet before answering. "Well sir, work has been tough since Havoc and Yulan died that i can't really get any bounty missions done. So I've been spending my retirement building that nice garden shop I've always wanted. It's going along fine too, just made my first 100 credits." I began to eat my bantha steak as everyone ate.
Desteana I ate quietly next to my daughter. I listened intently to the story that was told for the end before asking my questions. "A garden shop, how nice. What have you been up to, master Vang?"

I listened to Dradis, his story told was true, with Havoc and Yulan gone there isn't much work for Bounty Hunters. And since Endor, there hasn't been a need for them either. Then Desteana directed a question to myself. What have I been doing?
"That is excellent Dradis, you are doing well my friend. And now for my story; Well after our departure from each other, I decided I would settle down, but that wasn't so easy... I still had my promise I made to Lyalill, I came here and became the Ghost Guardian, Spirit of Kavar, and other names. But I protected the nearby colony from Pirates, Imperials, and so on. Then I met Tarretta, I was doing some things for the Rebellion when I met her, we got talking then... Well we started seeing each other, then after a few years married. However on Endor, she did not return... But enough of sorrow. Let us eat and drink to a reunion of old friends, and let us eat and drink for those we have lost. To Yulan"
Raising my ale I nod to the others then take a sip of my red colored liquor. Putting my glass down, I begin to east my Bantha steak. I then look up to Desteana and clear my throat before I speak.
"So Desteana, tell what you have been doing?"

Desteana I thought carefully to Vang's question. After all i wasn't really up to anything. "Life has been kind of boring lately, the only thing I've been doing is raising Elara here... i haven't told you her name yet haven't i? Yulan named her the day we found out she would be a girl. I have to say he had such an interest in the Old Republic and Sith Empire that he did his best to teach it. I guess the lesson he was trying to teach was 'Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it'." I looked among the table and ate a bite of my meal. Times like these after all were important to remember.

"That is a very poetic statement. One of Yulan's favorites in fact. And it did seem history had slightly repeated itself, but as always the light always defeated the dark. And this time, this time we will hopefully stay on top"
I continued to eat, and the droids brought out more food, the food was delicious. Then the last droid came out and took the plates and glasses then left us. The droids worked without a single flaw, and their manners were superb.
"Well let us talk and laugh over past times shall we? The air is a bit dull"
I laughed slightly as I finished talking, but what I said was true, the air was a bit dull. And it would be good to talk about the past experiences we had with each other, and during the Clone Wars as well. Those were the days we were considered great warriors, but those days are well behind us. I couldn't think of going back into war.

Desteana I ate vary little of the food, even though i thought it was delicious. I felt a slight tug on my robe, and looked down at my daughter who had just finished her food. "Mommy, can i tell a story?" I looked at Vang for his approval for her story.

"I would love to hear to hear your story young Elara"
I spoke as I saw Desteana's eyes meet mine, I nodded and smiled. Elara was young, yet I could sense the force in her, but yet Desteana had done nothing about it. I didn't blame her, any Jedi coming out in the open now was dangerous, even Luke Skywalker was laying a bit low.
I put my glass of ale down and leaned forward, winking at the young girl. I then motioned for her to speak, for her to tell us her story.
It had been a long time since I had seen a potential Jedi Youngling. But now isn't the time to discuss this, maybe later when I am alone with Desteana.
