Captain Richard frowned. HE knew she was angry, but then again so was he. The clone was trying to understand, but even though he can relate to the feeling, he can't at all relate himself to their situation. It was troubling, and almost curious, but deep down in his gut he was fearful for them. His eyebrows came together. "I try, ma'am." He mumbled very quietly, more to himself.
Folding his arms across his chest, he forced himself ot relax. An eyebrow rose as a small smiel crept across his face. "I suppose you'll have to wait when Chopper gets here."

Chopper felt a little better when he heard his daughter's spirits rise. He hugged her close. "What do I have that Richard doesn't? You. Your mother. A family."
He pulled away when she mentioned the droids. Gosh how he HATED droids. He laughed. "Can't wait for you to feel better too! Then we can scrap 'em all together!" He couldn't help but feel proud. That was his little girl!
"I love you too; more then you'll even know." He said quietly.

Kayla sighed. "I'm not exactly angry with you," she said as she smiled at Richard. "I am just mad that all this crap happened in less than a day," she said, shaking her head. "I suppose I should go check on the two," she added smiling.
Kaitlin smiled as she kissed Chopper on the cheek. "Really?" she asked smiling through her tears as she blinked when Chopper told her that he had her mother and her. "I'm glad I have you and mama too and Barry," she said as she nuzzled her racoon's nose. "I hate seening you and mama not being happy. Stupid droids." She paused for a moment as she yawned and kissed Chopper, falling asleep. "Take me back inside before mama thinks we got kidnap," she said laughing in her sleep.

Captain Richard nodded slowly. He could only imagine the stress she was feeling at the moment. You see, Richard got stressed, but he handled it very well. If he didn't, lives were lost. He needed to be in control of his emotions at all times, whihc I guess in other cases made it difficult to control the ubnormal 'ones' that he happened to stumble across now and again. "I'll just wait then, ma'am." He muttered quietly. "although I have confidence in Chopper's ability to protect Kaitlin." He added with a weak smile.

Chopper smiled warmly. "Of course! You and your mother mean more to me than you can ever imagine!" He challenged with a small laugh, poking the racoon on the nose. He was glad for the small critter and the clone could only imagine how comforting it could be. He never had anything to comfort him as he grew up. 'Glad there's three of us looking after Kaitlin!' He thought while he patted the racoon's head.
"I suppose you're right." He chuckled as he kissed Kaitlin's forehead. Gently scooping her up in his arms, Chopper stood and carried her back into the house with ease. Rest was the best medicine, and bed was the best place for rest.

"I love you daddy," Kaitlin said as she kissed him on the cheek and smiled. "You always know how to make me feel better when I'm down." She yawned and fell asleep.
"Thanks," Kayla said smiling as she sat down. "I know Chopper can protect her, but we can't let something like this happen again," she added, shaking her head. "I can't afford to lose Kaitlin not ever," she added softly as she clenched her fists growling. "Kaitlin is the world to me and if something happened to either Chopper or her my whole world would all be gone," she added as she blinked back tears and then she saw Kaitlin and Chopper come in and blinked as she smiled. "Chopper, Richard would like to speak with us." She glanced at Richard. "Mind if we talk in the living room?" she asked as she motioned for the two to follow.

Captain Richard suddenly felt a little awkward. He really didn't know what to think about the whole 'family' situation. He had seen the rejoyce of reunited families after freeing a planet, but still... everytime it was a little weird. They weren't supposed to have a life like that; clones were meant for serving in the army. Not what Chapper was up too, how that managed to happen. He'd never know. The whole world gone? Over two people? Richard just didn't understand. He'd lost thousands of brothers and was upset at eachone, but he kept calm and carried on. There wasn't much else to do.
He followed to the Living Room and remained standing as he waited for Chopper's arrival.

Chopper smiled as he carried her through the front door. "That's my job." He whispered. "You sleep well, and get stronger, okay?"
He passed Kayla and nodded in understanding. Entering Kaitlin's room, he gently layed her down on the bed and made sure the racoon was snuggled tight. Covering her with a blanket, he quietly tiptoed out of the room and carefully closed the door.
Walking over to the Living Room, he exhauled loudly. "I think she'll be alright. She's calmed down now." He reported, coming to stand beside Kayla. He looked over at Richard.
"What did you want to talk about, Captain? Shall we sit?"

Kaitlin snuggled with her raccon and went to sleep soundly.
"Good," Kayla said as she sighed as she smiled at Chopper. She looked at Richard and could tell that he feeling out of place. She was starting to feel out of place as well. She laid her head back some and smirked.

Captain Richard blinked at Chopper's arrival. Glancing between the two, he was about to object but decided it was best to not. The family was under pressure already. With an unhappy growling grumble, the Captain sat roucghly in the chair opposite the pair. His armor gave a small 'flunk' as the pieces rubbed against eachother as he sat roughly.
"Ahem." He announced his presence gently. "Glad to see you two have sorted things out. And if you don't mind... I'd like to say what needs to be said and be off so you two can... enjoy the rest of your evening." He set his helmet on the floor by his feet and then made eye contact with them both.
"Starting off with the good news, I guess. firs toff all, I believe Kaitlin's going to be fine. Her appendix may be swollen which is causing the discomfort. I've given her pills to take. One a day with plenty of water. They're prone to dehydrating, and in a body her size, that could be a bad thing. Make sure she eats healthy and drinks water." He emphasised. "Make sure she sleeps undisturbed and takes ALL the pills. She may feel better in a few days, but in order for them to work she needs to take them ALL. That's key. I'll be back in a few days to check her progress."
Having that done in over with, the Captain sat back. "Also... I suppose it could be considered 'good news'......"
He paused, seeming to have difficulties choosing his words.
"I'm not going to turn you in, Chopper. Nor the fact you two have a child. Your location will be kept secret with myself and no one else." He looked away, as he struggled to find more words to continue.

"Good indeed. Hopefully she'll be in a better mood in the morning. I got the GREATEST weapon to show her ever..." Chopper grinned as he nuzzled Kayla's cheek with his nose.
He cleared his throat, temporarily forgetting Richard was there, and flopped onto the couch next to his wife. He drummed his fingers on his knees for a moment, then sat back as Richard began to speak. Atleast what ever was wrong could be fixed, that made a load on his chest vanish a bit, but Chopper was still upset this all happened. It came so fast. He rubbed his temples, then his eyes and face before sighing heavily.
He watched the Captain drag on, an eyebrow raising slightly.
Chopper exhauled loudly. "Thank you." He muttered quietly, more to himself then anyone else. That was a huge relief, he didn't know what he woudl have done. He probably would have to leave the army and disappear somewhere to avoid capture or execution. He shivered at the thought.

Kayla playfully glared at Chopper. "No showing her anything," she said sighing. She looked at Richard. "Thanks," she said smiling.
"Daddy I'm thirsty," Kaitlin said as she yawned and cuddled her racoon.

Captain Richard felt his stomach drop. "Weapons?! Chopper this is a child! What are you thinking- AUGH!" Frustrated, the captain sat back with a scowl.
"Don't thank me yet; for you should be seeing more of me if Chopper is going to try and keep bustin' her up!" Scowling, the Captain struggled to regain control. Exhaling out his frustration, he looked back at them both with a hard expression.
"Here's for the bad news. If Kaitlin is still in pain four days from now, I will probably need to remove her appendix.
AND! I will not cover for you two. If one of you is supposed to be somewhere, and you're not. I will not tell them where you may be, but I will not defend you. It is your duty to be on time. I'm not going to tell you when you have family time, or when you sohuld be back at the ship. You know better.
However, I recommend you keepign this to yourselves. Should this be known amoung th others this is what will happen: Chopper will be taken behind the chemical sheds and shot. Should he be found out, he will have to flee and the three of you will need to find a neutral system far enough where we can not reach you. IF you notify me of this location, I will not spread the information as I have already said. However, note that I may not be able to come and help you should you need me."
The captain made eye contact with both of them, pausing to let his words sink in. He wanted to help, but he was still obliged to follow orders.
"Any questions, or concerns you'd like to notify me of?"

Chopper sat quietly as Captain Richard explained. He was right in everyway, as much as Chopper wished he could deny it. Every word was spoken truthfully, but the fact that he was willing to keep them a secret was really appreciated. A lot of pressure could be redused, however the need for a back up plan was still probably a good idea.
"Thanks Captain. It's truley appreciated." He glanced at Kayla, and squeezed her hand tightly before standing up. "I'll be right back."
Leaving the two, he walked to the kitchen to fill a glass with water. Carefully opening the door to Kaitlin's room, he entered . "Here you are sweetheat." He said softly, sitting on the edge of her bed and offering the glass of water.

Kayla looked at Richard. "I'm not even a General anymore," she said as she narrowed her eyes slightly. "I help from time to time, but as far as being on the field I don't do. I haven't served on the frontlines since Kaitlin was born. So no need to drag my ass through the mud thanks."
Kayla sighed softly as she ran her hand through her hair as she looked around. This was a fine mess. She smiled when Chopper went to go check on Kaitlin. Kayla was mad about the whole situation, but she knew Richard had some valid points, but as far as she was concerned she didn't care what he thought, but in a way she kind of did. She sighed and closed her eyes. So basically if they didn't do their job he would expose them.
"I need some air," she said as she clenched her fist and she headed outside and closed the door behind her. She wasn't about to blow a fuse with Kaitlin in the next room and the last thing she needed was someone on her ass. She sat down on a box outside and tucked her knees under her chest and rested her chin on her knees and started to cry when she punched the crate.
Kaitlin sat up and took the water from Chopper. "Thanks," she said as she drank it. "I'm all right, just thirsty." She heard a bang outside. "Something tells me mama isn't in a good mood," she mused. "You may want to go check on her."
