Captain Richard dismissed Chopper with a small flick of the eyes. The moment he had stood to leave, he locked eyes with Kayla. He hadn't known that. What didn't he know that? Oh yeah, that's right. He had used the Routin Orders as a foot rest. Great. Maybe he should actually use those. "Just because I'm not going to expose you, doesn't mean I'm going to help you either. I'll help, but I won't.... does that make ANY sense?!"
He watched her stand and take her leave. Oh great. What a fine mess he had started now, and ontop of that, he was beginning to feel absolutely terrible. Why did his heart hurt so? With a heavy sigh, the Captain sighed. Leaving his helmet he left the house after the former General Solo.
"Gener-.... Mrs. Solo..." He corrected. "I'm .... I'm sorry, but I hope you understand that I simply just don't get what happened. I'm trying to offer my help without getting us all 'discovered'. I just---...." He sighed, confusion making his throat swell. Maybe he was upset?!
"You seemed stressed and upset, and I know that's my fault..... I just wanted to- I just..." He gave up and rubbed his face vigourously with both hands. "You like massages? You seem tense, I can work out the knots in the muscles. May help you feel better." So random.

Chopper watched Kaitlin drink the water, wincing slightly at the band. Clearly she wasn't taking Richard's worse easily. He sohuld have seen that one coming, then again, he kind of had. How he was taking it so well, Chopper will never ever know.
"You gonna be alright?" He said softly, putting his hand on the side of her head. "I'll keep an eye out for your mother, no worries." He said gently, rubbing the side of her forehead. Kissing the top of her head, he stood.
"Sleep tight! Don't let the clankers bite!" He winked as he carefully closed the door behind him. 'Now to find Kayla' He thought with a frown.

Kayla narrowed her eyes slightly at Richard. Of course it wasn't entirely Captain Richard's fault that this crap happened. "In a way I kind of do understand that you will help and that you're trying to help as best you can," she said with a grumble. "But what I don't like is how you jump down my ass without getting all your facts straight. So yes I'm not happy with you at the moment." She rolled her eyes at him. "You do and Chopper will break your neck," she retorted sarcastically as she headed back in the house and ran right smack into Chopper.
Kaitlin snorted at her dad's comment. "Great now I can sleep," she said as she rolled back to sleep.

Captain Richard pinched the bridge of his nose, then ran his fingers down his face in frustration, pulling the skin with it slightly. How hard was it to just explain what he was feeling? What he was thinking?! Apparently more difficult then he had expected. He watched her go. So much for trying to help.
He often gave shoulder massages to troopers in th emedbay; the muscles were constantly tense and provided lots of discomfort. They rested easier. Maybe he should have explained first. Maybe it was just best if he left and got back to the base.

Chopper laughed as he peered through the crack in the door. "You know I wouldn't let them anywhere near your room, let alone in the house! Good night!"
Chopper made his way past the living room and to the front door. He had heard the bang, and had guessed it was Kayla. Judging by the fact Rciahrd wasn't in here anymore, he must be outside with her.
Chopper was just about to walk through the door when the love of his life came slamming into him. "Whoa hey!" He said, wrapping his arms aroung her to prevent her from running off. "Where's the fire! What's wrong?!" Chopper said gently and calmly into her ear, hugging her close.

Kayla tried to push Chopper away, but when his arms wrapped around her, she didn't try to fight him and she wrapped her arms around him and blinked back tears.
Kaitlin on the other hand woke up and snuck out of the room and found Richard standing outside. "Mind if I sit out here for a bit?" she asked as she glanced at Richard and sat down. "Hard to sleep with mom upset," she added as she rubbed her arms softly.

Captain Richard was about to find another way inside to avoid the 'couple' and retreive his helmet to leave when a small voice interupted him. He turned around to see Kaitlin make her entrance and take a seat. He watched her in silence for a moment, wondering what could possibly be going through her mind at the moment.
Richard took a silent breath, then sat down beside her. "I don't mind at all; I sort of expected you wouldn't sleep. You're too much like your parents." He mused, ruffling her hair gently with his hand. "And everyone gets upset, just because they get older doesn't mean they don't have times where they need another's company."

Chopper took a step back with one foot to stabalize himself, maintaining his hold on Kayla. He hugged her tight, resting his chin on her shoulder. "Shh, shh... it's alright." He soothed gently, rubbing her back with one hand. "Just take deep breaths."

"No kidding," Kaitlin snorted. "I take after daddy," she added as she rested her head on Richard's shoulder.
Kayla sighed as she blinked back tears. "I'm sorry," she said.

Richard chuckled, unable to help himself. He watched her for a moment, then wrapped and arm around her to give a small hug. It was probably the first time he'd given anyone a hug, even if this was a side hug, it still counted. "Your dad yes, but you still get a lot from your mother as well."
He leaned over to look at her face. "Cheer up, there's no point in being down about anything. You've gotta take in whats coming, take what you need and discard the rest. It's how we all get stronger and gain experience. You're parents love you very much, and that's something that should always make you feel good, no matter the situation."

Chopper kept rubbing her back in slow, gently motions. He stayed where he was, holding her close to him, hoping he provided some kind of comfort. "There's nothing to be sorry about. There's no need to apologize."
He was right, or atleast he felt so. They had decided together what would happen with them and their family, and it was their choice. Richard could say all he wanted, and while he felt richard was atleast trying to help as much as he could, this is what they had chosen, and honestly, Chopper loved it.

Kayla smiled at Chopper. "I know," she said as she hugged Chopper and then led the way to the couch. She sat down on the couch and wrapped her arms around Chopper and hugged him. "I may let Richard give me that massage after I calm down some," she said with a snort as she rolled her eyes and snuggled in Chopper's arms. "This is just one fine mess we've got into ain't it?" she added. She winced from her hand some knowing that she probably sprained it and rubbed her wrist. She blinked when she looked around. "I love you," she said as she kissed him on the lips passionately.
Kaitlin smiled at Richard when he hugged her. "I know they love me," she said smiling. She hugged him back. "So when will you be back?" she asked as she grunted softly. "Why are you giving mama a hard time?" she added as she glanced at Richard. "Its not their fault all this happened."
It started to rain and Kaitlin got up and she went to stand out in the rain on a crate.

Captain Richard frowned and let go to watch her stand in the rain. His mouth twitched at the corner slightly, showing his discontent but he did nothing to stop her. This wasn't his child, and eventhough he was still looking out for her, as if he'd have the ability to make her stop. 'She's so much like her ... parents.' He thought to himself, watching her for a moment.
"You're going to catch a cold. Then I'll be back even sooner."
He paused for a moment, thinking of an answer she'd want to hear. Then decided it wasn't really in his personality to lie, nor hold anything back. So he shrugged.
"I'll probably be back in a few days at most. I give your mother a hard time because it's my job. I'm one to speak my mind. Besides, it's amusing.." He chuckled with a smug expression.
He slouched a little on his seat, relaxing. The smell of rain was very calming, and he enjoyed it greatly. He was almost tempted to join her under out there. "I know it isn't their fault, nor is it yours. It's just... that bad things happen to good people."

Chopper smiled. "A fine mess indeed, but definitely one we asked for... I s'ppose that we wanted."
All Chopper thought he could do was hold her tight. Honestly, he was a little stumped for words, but he knew that it was his job to just... be there. He wasn't the fondest of Richard giving massages, but he couldn't deny their calming ability. Perhaps one time he'd attempt to give Kayla one, but he'd want to make sure he didn't suck at it first. For now, hugs were they best he could give at the moment.
"I love you too."

Kayla snuggled in Chopper's arms. "I sense our daughter is out with Richard," she grumbled.
Kaitlin snickered. "I don't catch colds," she said with a snort as she came back and hugged Richard again. The rain was light and she felt like she was on fire due to her body temperature. "Besides I don't like seeing mama blow a fuse it makes trouble for me," she grumbled as she thumped Richard playfully. "Besides you know you can't resist me," she added with a snicker and just as she chuckled as she yawned some.
"I don't care," Kayla said. "I'm happy with our decisions. I shouldn't have got upset at Richard...grr...he made me."
